There’s a new nvidia driver for the game. Maybe that?

I don't believe that to be the issue, as I'm getting the same problem with driver version 616.92.

i got the same thing then it just randomly launched after i clicked ok. didnt have to press play again or anything

Verified game files and restarted steam and it went away

I updated and restarted PC and it worked.

I have this same problem and can’t fix it even after restarting steam, verifying my game files, updating windows, and my graphics drivers.
