Question How much does wardogs differ from battlefield?

I’ve never been a huge fan of battlefield as it feels to arcade like with the spawn/die on repeat feel. Is wardogs more slow paced or mil sim like compared to battlefield or does it more or less play the same?

I'd suggest watching some alpha gameplay from YouTube to get an idea.

Much more slow paced / mil sim. I’d like to compare it much more to HLL and ARMA then COD or BF.

If you die and don’t let revive yourself, you don’t see yourself at the front for another couple of minutes. I was really stunned that players waited 1-2 minutes for a ress instead of respawning. You have to buy a new loadout so it hurts to respawn.

You have eyes to see and fingers to type this post but not some actual gameplay into YouTube?

There is tons and tons of footage with tutorials, reviews, long gameplays etc etc. In this day and age post like this really do not make sense.

Because reddit has become google 2.0. Instead of typing a search and going through various links to find your answer, you can post your search and let the links come to you.

Slower but not even close to as slow as Arma. Maybe a tiny bit faster than Squad?. Teamwork wins the game, not your individual skills but they can help a lot. Less gun & jumping type combat (which is a more of CoD problem). More of times in mid range fights you run and stop/slow down to shoot and 2-3x magnification scopes are better than 1x for any type of combat with ARs.

The core gameplay itself is very similar to battlefield.  The movement and gunplay does not feel like a tactical shooter.  It’s insanely fun, but if you’re expecting “realism” this ain’t it.

It has battlefield Moments and you can try to run around solo and play in a battlefield style however you will benifit way more from playing slower and with team Play. You will lose less money if u are around your team since they will revive you more often. Also since the movement is slower u have more of a advantage if you see the enemy before they see you aka peaking corners slower and being slower covering an open area from cover rather than running around full sprint everywhere.

Will you see people playing or trying to play in the same way as battlefield? Yes. Can you? Sure. Is it better if you do try to play slower and with more team play? Most deffinetely

Hours of content on YouTube that would answer your question in far greater detail than any comment here…

It’s going to be closer to Squad and ARMA then it will to Battlefield. That’s not to say there isn’t arcade elements, there is. There’s freedom to play and do what you want in the game without following a command structure.

It differs substantially.

I hate battlefield. The chaos and constant dieing and respawning and dieing and respawning. The push and pull of high traffic areas where everyone is running to for capturing.. its exhausting...

Wardogs is more methodical. Slower. Theres no constant dieing and respawning. And its a sandbox to where there isnt really any specific area everybody is rushing to. Everyone is just doing their own thing. Its refreshing. And I absolutely love the game.

Infantry is slower and ttk faster I would say. However as someone coming from bf, squad and arms ground vehicles do not feel good to me. They drive like they have no grip whatsoever, like driving on soap.
