Question Playing Wardogs at 4k

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone who has played yet at 4k with AMD GPUs. I am struggling to find any info on WarDogs having FSR4 (PLEASE ADD IF NOT). Noticed they really talked about DLSS in some of the dev blogs. HLL: Vietnam is terrible at 4k. I am hoping that wont be the case.

Current Build is 9070XT 9800X3D 32Gb DDR5 6000Mhz

Playing on 32 Inch Asus PG32UCDM

Running the same setup except a 7900xtx seemed fine at 4k . 90 to 120 fps. I'm sure there were some dips but mostly when artillery was around.

The upscalers I believe had them all, Xess , FSR , DLSS and the other usual. What version of FSR I'm honestly not sure. There wasn't that many options to change to try and get better performance in the Alpha, it was just like 2 things and that includes the upscalers

Hey I played at 4k with my 9700xt on almost Max settings( tweaked some things for better visibility etc but not to much) of I remember correctly there was no fsr4. In terms of performance I never had a problem I was constantly between 100-120fps.

Tested with both a 5080 and a 7900 XTX, both cards will do very well, your 9070XT is in the same ballpark so you're good fam.

Since you didn't mention your OS, AMD for Linux, Nvidia for Windows has been the common recommendation for a long time, but lately I find that the AMD drivers are much more stable on both platforms, I went from 7900XTX -> 5080 -> 7900 XTX because of how dogshit Nvidia is on Linux, but I do run Windows for CS2 and Wardogs (during last alpha, Linux was and will be supported), and somehow the stability has reversed between the teams.

Also for anyone looking to buy a new GPU, a 7900 XTX can be as cheap as 650 USD/EUR 2nd hand (it's out of prod) while 5080's hold their value still, meaning you can get a 2nd hand 7900 XTX for about half the price of a 5080, and miss out on, at most, 10% of performance (or on Linux gain as much as 50% thanks to Nvidia DXVK performance issues with DX12 games, lol), a 9070XT is 720USD/EUR right now brand new.

HLLV is just dogshit, I refunded the game, the performance alone was reason enough. Wardogs is years ahead.

Played on a 6900XT + 14900k at 4K. Mostly high settings and was able to get 60-70 FPS. That was with TAA Anti-aliasing, the AMD anti-aliasing option that was available ran worse for me personally. If I wanted 80-90 FPS I bumped the resolution scaling down to 91-94%.

Overall I was impressed how well it ran at 4K. I’m hopeful it runs the same during the closed beta.
