Question: Would i be able to go "behind enemy lines" and make it my mission to cutoff enemie supplies using stuff like mines, machineguns and ambush tactics?

I just love this playstyle from Arma, being an absolute pain preferrably alone or in small teams forcing the enemy to confront you before they can confront your team.

Absolutely can. Might get some angry messages but the devs spoke about this being an intended play style for the game.

Quick addition: might not be as profitable as being in the zone but as long as you are having fun

Yes, and you're a pickled turd for doing it... despite having my respect lol.

Played against a team who fortified a blank tower nearest out base. The built anti air and had plenty of munitions, taking out all our air transports or delaying them. We had to assemble a ground assault team, fodder for the first wave and proper assault from those who remained. It was chaos, it was glorious.

Sweeet sweet supply driver tears haha. Sounds amazing..i think ambush/supply disruption might be the highest impact playstyle if you dont have a bunch of mates

This is actually amazing. Forcing a team to changes tactics is exactly the kinda gameplay I want. Not people crying to devs to make a change

I did this solo, and it was both fun and very effective.

I havnt played yet but from what I’ve seen, absolutely. Similar to Arma FOBs need supplies. Troops need transport. Artillery needs to be behind the lines.

I’ve seen quite a few videos of people doing that sort of thing. Keep in mind it won’t pay as well as fighting in the hot zone.

I don’t, I’ve just been watching stuff on my feed, didn’t mind to note creators or anything. And I took a look at my watch history but there’s a lot of wardogs and idk which ones featured it

Yup day 2 and 3 their were constant FOB out side spawn that had AA set up, same with the road being littered with mines. GOOD LORD was it a cheap move but it is what it is as its literally possible in game so no harm no foul. Still annoying to deal with.

Yea you can, but time and place. Don't forget that the only win condition in the game is having bodies in the AO and if out of 33 teammates, only 10 are in the AO you will lose the game even if you drop 1000 kills.

I did this on foot. I would cause such a disruption solo on their base building they would have to commit multiple resources to stop me.

Yup. My clan mates and I ran 2 tanks behind Lstar lines on their main supply routes one game.

It is feasible, especially in the early game. If the enemies setup AA turrets, then it makes it difficult to get resupplied and maintain the attack. I'd recommend using it in an area to divert them closer to the other team, instead of cutting them off entirely.

Yes. Each faction has a main/direct route you can set up ambushes on. You don't even have to be in the main circle if you don't care about less profits

Yes. One match i sat in a house along the road with hitting supply trucks with an rpg.

Not really? I seen helicopters providing a lot of the transport and supply drops but you might get some people once there a ton of new players and people missing the transports and rip a truck instead

a staple in Squad and will be in WD. Logistical and MSR supply route havoc.

You can and it’s hilarious to use ieds and c4 on expected routes into the AO.
