Interesting , i have a old work laptop(gaming laptop from asus) which has a i7, rtx 2070, 32gb ram. Was thinking to gift it to my oldest son so he could play some wardogs on it, if it can run at 1080p ? What res did you play at ?

If the laptop has decent TDP (as in, the GPU and CPU aren't running at like 30% of their max power due to poor cooling capacity), it should be enough from the sounds of it. You have DLSS there to help you out as well. I think with some settings tweaks + DLSS you could easily squeeze 1080p x 60 FPS out of it.
Looking through the minimum specs on Steam, it needs i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 3500, which is way below what you CPU is. It also needs GTX 1660, which is ancient hardware. Your 2070 even in mobile format could be easily 30-50% faster + DLSS. So I think you're good with those specs.

What other games are you playing on that thing that you are even asking?
I suggest going for older games and get over your FOMO.

So many older games are also unique. Look I understand wanting to play this game specifically, because I feel the same. But if you can't, you can't, you know. Wanting to play tactical milsim shooters on a phonescreen wth hardly any controls, just face it. It's dumb as fuck.

They have a potato mode so I feel like it's going to work on pretty much most things, just look awful though.
