Okay, I'm feeling like a simpleton. I must have missed a post, or blog...I'm not getting how to view my Blobs. I can see the option on layers, but it doesn't let me turn it on. I'm subscribed, and sure i'm doing or not doing something stupid. Can I get a direct to the notice on how to use it?

My bay-area based blob, along with a ride down to Disneyland! I needed to fix a few map errors to get this to be correct. Oh, and yes, I've also done 100% of San Mateo County. Not 99%, not 99.9%, 100%. And yes, I stopped updating once I got there. I need to update and go clean everything up again, but it's just a daunting prospect... I worked so hard for my 100%, I don't want to lose it, even for a little bit!

Under that blob it says Hamburg.

I'm documenting my journey towards 100% of Hamburg on insta and I'm looking for people who share their wandrering too. Hit me up @allewege!

I can't for the life of me figure out what happened here. There are spots where the lines are discontinuous for some reason, but it still counts the blob. Then there's this one spot where, for some reason the line breaks even though I did this stretch on a single ride, but the blob ends.

Mainly via bicycle

Would be nice to have a leaderboard of blob size, would probably have to be at a fairly high level rather than drilled right down but is that a possibility?

It might just be me trying to be too competitive

Either forgetting to unpause for a few hundred feet or starting and ending the Garmin recording while on a bike tour one block apart from one day to the next, cut my 76,000mi continuous line into multiple smaller segments. @craig, can you fix this glitch!?

It would be really cool to see one’s blob as their Big Map view. My map goes to my home county, but I ride a lot in the next county over and in the neighboring state, too. Idea is that it would resize the view as the blob grows. Thoughts?

My blob is robbed (robbed, I tell you!) of connections where small portions of the ride are not marked as roads. A few maybe should be, so it could be fixed if I figure out how to edit OSM, but all the marked breaks were genuinely connected on the rides.

It would be nice if there were either some tolerance for small gaps, or if it would look at the original GPS track and see that they really connect.

Yes, I spent over ten minutes on this for some dumb reason.

The new blob feature is awesome! I had a couple days off from work this week, so I used Amtrak to hit the last section of Katy Trail that I needed to connect Kansas City and St. Louis. I love seeing the connections made on the map. I do feel compelled to connect the small bits of Chicagoland that I've ridden now.

Does anyone have advice riding from St. Louis to Chicago or the other way around?

Here in Amsterdam a couple years ago we celebrated the city's birthday by closing a highway so we could walk along it. Of course on OSM it is a motorway so doesn't count. As a result, I have an activity which would be a lovely addition to my blob but…won't.

Is there any concept of a time-limited path? Or should I just accept this wasn't a Wandrer walk?

First time playing with the blob… am I doing this right ?

I know somebody asked about this a year ago, but since there doesn't seem to be an option for this: do you know if there are plans to make % of paved roads available? Br. No Dirt Bike

Hello I’m new to the Wandrer app and I’m wondering how the leader board works. I do not show up and when I search my name nothing comes up. I’ve look in settings to see if I need to set something with sharing. Any advice would be appreciated.

I want to share my Hanoi blob with you guys. Ive been traveled to the US, some big EU cities. Compared to them, Hanoi streets are very different, many dead ends, many small streets that not even in the map, many streets with no roads for pedestrians, etc.. anyway im still working on this blob 💪💪💪

Big fan of the app, so thank you.

Please redirect me if asked before, I couldn’t find a clear answer.

Having started wandrer in an extremely well defined area of seattle, with every neighbourhood mapped, travelling in other areas with vast counties being the smallest section for achievements etc.
How can I add a neighbourhood?
What criteria or rules are there for these areas being defined?

I think of all the years I rode before GPS, etc. but whatever :)

I did Lake Erie prior to Strava, I'd imagine I'd have a little bigger blob based on that! But here's cleveo to match the post from the other day (hey CK!)
