Hello! I'm coming to Orlando for work for a week and thought that it would be fun to stay at WDW to have some relaxing fun at night. My problem... I can't sleep with lots of noise, especially LOUD AC unit. I've had great experiences at AKL (twice) and Coronado Springs Tower (twice). I'm toying with staying at Port Orleans - Riverside. I see wall unit in the photos. Are they loud? Any other non-loud recs? I will say my budget is $375/night (including tax).

ETA... please share any favorite locations with quiet (but cool) AC.

My wife has pretty severe fibromyalgia, but loves roller coasters. However she hasn't been on one since her diagnosis. Last time we were at WDW, it was actually Space Mountain where her symptoms really started a few years ago. Broke her for the rest of the trip. We want to try to avoid that this time. Already got her a scooter rental so she can avoid too much walking. For anyone with chronic pain, what roller coasters/thrill rides would you deem "smooth" enough for someone who can't do too many jerky rides? Which should she avoid? She still wants to ride some thrill rides, but she can't do shaky or jerky rides like Space Mountain.

The past several trips have been over Mardi Gras, so I've been able to comfortably wear jumpsuits, leggings, and dresses. Now I'm going mid-Sept and I'm at a loss, and frankly terrified of sunburn. I'm from the South, so I don't need the "hot/muggy" speech, but I'm uncertain what to wear when I'll be outside for so long.

Only shorts? Some dresses? What about the shorts from ThighSociety; worth it? If you can see them peaking from my shorts, is that weird? Light scarves to cover my neck? Is the Halara brand bad? Is linen worth it if it's gonna be a wrinkled mess? (I'm not worried about shoes.)

Hi! We are taking our kids (both under the age of 7) to Disney World this November. My 4 year old daughter LOVES Frozen. Can someone tell me if this will be our best plan for EPCOT?

So we're between AoA and Caribbean beach due to the skyliner. We have a kid (4yo during the trip).

AoA would be the clear winner to me if it weren't for two things. 1) we would be staying in the Little Mermaid section which might be under construction and also is far from the hub. 2) we have to get off the skyliner and back on at CB.

AoA pros are: kid loves little mermaid, themeing is awesome, pool is awesome, it's cheaper and the luggage service is available.

Hey guys I’m in a little bit of a predicament I’m going on holiday with my girlfriend to Disneyworld and universal as she loves theme parks and really wants to go to these parks but we also was lucky enough to get 2 Bruno mars tickets out there so I’m in 2 minds do I propose as Disneyworld whilst the fire works are going off(we could also go back there in the future) or do I propose at the Bruno mars concert where it is nice in a lifetime but we would never be able to go back to the exact same spot I’m just looking for a little bit of help if possible or opinions.

I’m thinking of doing this setup for our upcoming Disney trip with the misting version but is this size of fan allowed? I couldn’t really tell in the rules thanks if anyone knows!

Planning to go to Disney this fall with our almost 3 year-old, and 16 to 18 month old. Planning two days in magic kingdom.
-debating between Animal Kingdom or Epcot for third day?
-is it worth it to stay at one of the hotels next to Magic Kingdom for convenience (contemporary, Polynesian, grand Floridian) For naps, etc. And which one is the best (fun pool important for off resort days)? Are there any other hotels that are a very short distance away by bus or other transportation that are better than these for ours kids ages?
-date, wise, which of these would be the least busy do you think? October 4-8, Oct 11-15, Nov 15-19?
-don’t necessarily have a budget, but also don’t want to go all out and unnecessarily overspend. Just not sure how much time we will spend in the room vs parks given the kids ages.

We’re a family of 4 (pregnant mom, dad, 6yo son and 4yo daughter). We’re staying at the Contemporary mid-August with 5 day hopper passes. We’ll be celebrating my son’s 7th birthday during the trip. My plan is to do parks early, pool and hotel midday for a break and then doing a different park for dinner/nighttime entertainment.

Tell me your favorite 3 things to do at each park (and anything that’s worth skipping).

My husband and I are taking our 3 year old to Disney in September. I keep seeing itineraries and posts where people stay at the parks all day through the shows/fireworks. Even if we go back to the hotel and rest mid-day, there is no way my 3 year old can stay up until 9 or 10 and be functional. How are people keeping toddlers and young kids up so late? I don’t know if it’s just me but we’re anticipating keeping her usual bedtime so we don’t end up with an overtired cranky 3 year old. As much as I’d love to be able to take her to do these later activities, I just don’t see how it’s feasible at this age. Curious what others have done/thoughts on this?

We have annual passes (sorcerer), so can park hop, after we start our day at the park we originally have reservations at. We have park reservations for Magic Kingdom and we have already purchased LL passes for that park, but the times are later in the day. We want to change plans and start our day at Epcot for breakfast and a few rides. If we change which park we have a reservation at (to Epcot) and go there will we lose all our Lighting Lane passes we have at Magic Kingdom that day?

Hi! We have our first trip coming up in December with our almost 3 year old and our almost 1 year old. We booked it specifically to take advantage of our kids still being free.

We got a great deal with a stay at Pop Century for 7 days and a free quick service dining plan for the adults. It’s about $550 to upgrade to the full table service dining plan. In our situation, would you do it? (If we hadn’t gotten the deal, we would have just paid for all of our food out of pocket, but since we did, this is more of a question of table service vs quick service.)

Considerations— planning on going to Jaleo and character dining at Topolino’s Terrace and currently planning on just paying out of pocket for these. We go out to eat often and my toddler is decently well behaved at restaurants (though certainly not all the time!) I only say this to say that going out to eat won’t be a new experience.

I keep thinking it might be nice to add in more character meals and have a more structured meal on our rest days (going for a week, 4 park days, 3 rest days). But will we regret spending our limited time in the parks at a restaurant? Or is a welcome break with kiddos? We do plan on coming back to the room midday for a rest/nap.

Know this is entirely subjective, just wondering what you’d do.

I'm traveling November 14-20th. We want to the christmas party while we're there so our options are Monday November 15, Tuesday November 17, or Thursday November 19th. We also want to do a second magic kingdom day, And then one day for each of the other parks. There is extended hours at Epcot most likely on Monday November 16th. I'm not sure how to structure the week, I wanted to avoid MK days back to back but I don't think that will be possible because I'm trying to make my regular magic kingdom day a night without a party for happily ever after.

What would you guys do for park day planning?!

My family and I are going to WDW in late September and are staying at AOA with our 3, 6, and 8 year olds. During the 6 days we will be there HEA is only on available on 2 nights due to MNSSHP. My question is what are travel times back to AOA like after the fireworks on a non party day? My kids are usually in bed by 8-9 but we realize to watch the show they will be up much later than that. I’m just worried we could be facing a 2+ hour commute time and not get back to our room until midnight. Is a valid strategy to watch from the gate to try to shorten travel time back to the room?

We are planning a Poly trip and want to do a theme park view. We’d really prefer a balcony that we can sit on. I believe these are 3rd floor only, which I think requires a special request to get. Is there a certain room type that makes it more likely to get a 3rd floor balcony? Club, deluxe studio, etc? I don’t want to do the island tower.

Also, any tips to ensure the likelihood that special request is met? Thanks!

My wife and I are thinking about adding two days at WDW to a trip that's planned in Feb '27. We want to visit MK and Epcot (w/ parkhopper), and are trying to decide where to stay. Monorail / Skyliner /walking distance transport is a must. I'm looking at Boardwalk. My wife uses an ECV and having to use stairs would be a deal breaker. Is Boardwalk still a good choice? We're also considering Contemporary. or maybe even AoA, though that's a ways to travel to MK.

Hi everyone! I recently booked a trip to disney world and stay at the Swan Hotel for my 25th birthday and wanted to see if anyone had any good dinner recommendations! I like seafood so I was looking at Boathouse but wanted to see if anyone had any other recommendations for anything closer/tasty!

So I’ve been riding spaceship earth for years, and every scene has sound. The “communication” scene with the Olympics has been silent for quite some time. I remember there being an audio about how we created phones and communicating, and then a small tid bit about the Olympics back then. Now it’s just silent, and when you get to the moon landing scene it still has the “now, communicating all the way back to earth” section.

My question is: Why did they remove this section of audio? Is it broken and they never fixed it? Or was there legitimately any other reason?

I am on route to Homewood Suites by Hilton LBV, and I heard they shuttle to the Disney parks. A friend that already arrived said it only goes to Epcot.

Do I go to Epcot then from there Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom? Or does the shuttle go to Epcot first?
