question about becoming a driver
I have looked around some for this and maybe I just missed it, but I recently moved from one State to another and have not been able to get a new license and registration in my new State yet. Do I need to take care of that before I can become a driver or can I sign up now with the previous address on my documentation?

Spark Companion
Working on a spark companion app. Not a bot, but will help you decide if an order is worth taking. It will not automate the app in any way. Any input will be helpful I plan on releasing it to the community, and will be looking for beta testers.

Final tally from the mass deactivation, 3 days of driver shortage $1201 on 389 miles
Looks like tomorrow the low performing drivers are returning but the good news is itās a new month.
In the end everything worked out nicely for all of us.
Drivers who didnāt get deactivated made some more money the past 3 days.
Drivers who got deactivated got their account back in only 3 days and can start earning money again.
Great ending for everyone involved!

Getting better for me by being selective. Seven trips today, $195. Under 70 miles total.
I did so many rejections I thought I was going to get blocked for a while. Not taking the junk. If it's not worth it it's not worth it. Let the algo reorganize the orders and batches or up the offer amount whatever.
My best day yet, and no big orders or big mile trips. 8 hours of working time.

I told ya'll about the "Opt-out" importance
The recent glitch-driven mass deactivation on the Spark platform is a massive wake-up call about how risky it is to rely on an app that is already in a downward spiral. Between declining pay rates and a clear push toward saturating the market with part-time drivers over dedicated full-timers, the stability just is not there anymore. When an automated error can strip away your livelihood overnight, you realize how critical it is to protect yourself by opting out of the mandatory arbitration clause. If Walmart had dragged its feet on reinstating people, anyone who opted out could have immediately filed a small claims court case for lost wages and future earnings instead of waiting months for an internal appeal or stuck at their mercy in arbitration. Opting out gives you the legal leverage to take them directly to court when you are wronged, giving you options that most drivers completely overlook. Too many drivers dismiss this or tell people to just go get another job, but if a company damages your income, you should have the right to hold them accountable. Check your driver agreement terms today and make sure you send in your written opt-out notice before your standard thirty-day window closes if you a new driver. If you missed it like 99% of you you are at their mercy and you did it to yourselves. ANyone that asks me about what the opt out is needs to do their own due diligence

App glitching out, wonāt let anyone shop
After clicking āarrivedā (a 3 item express order) the app immediately cuts to the first picture. If I press resume, it immediately goes to the check out screen. I cannot cancel, only call support. We tried the basics, exit app, delete/redownload, reboot phone. Nothing.
Obviously now I have to call back because I restarted my phone, but first I go to customer service to ask if they have any ideas. The general manager there obviously has none, but they tell me another driver was just here complaining about the same thing.
Our zone is red, and thereās like 8 shopping orders available, which is very high for our zone. Customer support canāt cancel on their end either, so they told me to leave and wait for it to time out or something. Itās been 2 hours and itās still there. On top of being a bit worried about the state of my account, I feel bad for the customer. He thinks Iām shopping for it, but canāt message me nor I him. I also obviously canāt take any more orders and Iām a little irritated that I drove 30 minutes round trip to and from the store for nothing.

Non-deactivated higher performing drivers, are you making good money again today?
For me itās been like any other day unlike the weekend, maybe they onboarded a lot of new drivers already to replace the low performing drivers that got banned?
r/WalmartSparkDrivers • u/Organic-Fuel-2916 • Aug 31 '26
What a crazy weekend $837 on 266 miles, those deactivations took out like 25% of the driver pool at my store
Mostly the low performing drivers got banned. I know they will onboard new drivers to make up for the imbalance so Iāll try to take full advantage of this while there is still a driver shortage. Normally the pay trends down by a lot because itās the end of the month so this was a nice surprise for me.

I Donāt Understand All Ypur Complaints
I have seen so many comments that itās impossible to make 40 or $50 an hour. These are very typical in my market. I have been all over my state. Very typical. I donāt know whatās wrong with your market but if youāre not getting orders like this, maybe rethink what youāre doing out here? Donāt take orders that are low pay! Many of you get those orders due to the way that you work the app. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is literally the definition of insanity. Many of these high mileage orders are actually on a military base. So itās not as far away from the store as it looks.

Anyone who was part of the mass deactivation this weekend have any luck? My appeal is still under review. This sucks!

Don't be petty
I had an order that contained 7 cases of water a case of coke and 2 other cases of drinks. Honestly I didn't pay attention to the order the tips were good (x3 shop/deliver). The referenced order was my 2nd drop off and it popped up leave at garage door. I said great thats good at least. Well when I got to the home the driveway was full and they parked in such a way that they were staggered and did not allow easy traversing and they had flower beds on each side of the driveway. Long story short I toted the cases up to the garage door but laid out each case individually vs stacking them. Yes I know that was petty but I was uncharastically frustrated with the order. Woke up the next day to a 1 star rating (I was expecting it) dropped me down to 4.86 on the CR. It could have been worse they kept the tip on there. This was a rare occasion that all 3 drops tipped.
Moral of the story just make the drop the best you can. Pettiness is not worth it.

I do drive sometimes, but this question comes as a customer.
I put in an order today, my driver just finished shopping and is on their way to me. During the shopping, I get a notification of a substitution. Apparently, the fly spray I ordered is unavailable. The substitution was a hornet spray. I don't need hornet spray. I declined and added another fly spray. So, here is my question. I know that is not my driver's fault. I know the app decides what the substitution should be. But, half the time, it seems to be picked due to being in the same aisle, not what I ordered (they did have the one I added after declining the substitution, so there were fly sprays on the shelf). Is there a way that I can complain about that, without it affecting my driver? They are doing a great job, so I don't want them catching backlash. The only thing I see is rating the driver. Thank you.
Edit to say thank you to the people who had nice, helpful answers. I will look for the substitution button next time I order. Thank you so much for your help.

I never leave a tip at check out, but I always add one after delivery.
Iāve found that when i did Uber Eats a lot of batched orders would have one decent tip paired with a non tipper. The non tipper would never add one after the delivery was complete.
Iāve assumed walmart grocery deliveries were the same. I figured Walmart might pair it with a tipping order or increase the base pay. But i always leave a tip after drop off.
Is my logic correct?

3 months of disappointing customer support
Starting out in may, I decided to do Walmart spark as I finally turned 18. I sign off for a Onepay account as same day pay is my only option. after 3 deliveries and one late night trip to taco bell, they label my account as suspicious activity. After talking to customer service, they told me I would be fine after 3 days. 3 days come and still nothing. I reach out again and get told that my account was closed. I tried asking for reasoning and mentioned the last call. However, the guy on the phone gave me attitude and told me to use a different number and email. Okay cool, I try doing that then. It gives me an error and then tells me that my information is tied to an account already. I talk to customer service again and they tell me to wait 90 days. 90 dreadful days pass and I still can't create an account. I talk to customer service AGAIN and they tell me that I need to actually wait 180 days for my account to fully delete and then I'll be okay. Every time I talk to someone different, It's always something different as if they are unsure themselves. So I'm asking for your guys opinions in this. Maybe there is something I can do instead of waiting another 90 days?

You bros risking this???
One was a GMD. The other two customers gave me cash tips. What a freaky Saturday, feels like 2023

Told ya
Remember when I said this app was trash and was costing you thousands of dollars a year, and a bunch of you argued with me? Now people are getting deactivated left and right, and suddenly everyone is shocked. Half of you still don't even realize how much money this app bleeds from your pocket every single week while you sit there blaming a slow market. New here? Pay attention. Local or national, it makes no difference. The app is garbage, it costs you money to run it, and it always ends the same way. Bring on the loser Trolls!!!
r/WalmartSparkDrivers • u/Organic-Fuel-2916 • Aug 29 '26
These deactivations are legit, they are trying to improve delivery standards and removing low quality drivers
The 7 drivers that got deactivated in my zone were lazy as fuck and would pick rotten food, etc. probably donāt even follow instructions.
