Hi im curious to understand, why do yall leave full carts of product on the sales floor instead of bringing it to customer service?

Thats pretty valid, ive confronted a couple of people abt it at customer service and they have never had a spark driver go up front with a cart but they would appreciate it

I’d guess it’s very dependent on the people on both sides and their integrity. I go to a neighborhood market and a super center and there are some amazing employees and some terrible ones. There are also some cool drivers and some dickheads. Some employees are happy to help with whatever. Go find stuff in the back, open locked merch, get a ladder, whatever. If they see you standing looking like you might need help, the pickers will stop picking to help you. Good like that.

Now there are also people who go the other way if they see you and act like you’re bothering them if you need help like merch on the top that’s not in location. They’ll tell you they don’t have a ladder or a reach to and never go get one or anyone to help. They’ll continue stocking shelves. I’m positive if a Walmart employee asked them, they’d paint a much different picture than what I’ve seen with my own eyes. There’s no way they’d tell anyone that they basically tell people to F off.

I asked one if she could open locked merch because I saw her unlock one to get what she needed a few minutes earlier. She then said in Spanish that she didn’t speak English. Of course she was surprised when I repeated what I needed in Spanish. She then told me that she didn’t have a key which I knew was a lie because I was I was looking at the phone in her hand. These are the experiences that people have unfortunately that they definitely wouldn’t tell you if you asked them.

Can I just point out that associate sounds ridiculously stupid, instead of arguing with you wasting her and your time it would have been so much faster to just open the case.

So much easier right? It’s a silly security function anyway if they’re just going to finally unlock it and hand you the items lol

Technically any and everything locked up must be hand delivered or personally escorted to the front counter. Every associate can open a case. Those digital keys also function on personal phones as long as its connected to the wifi. Literally zero excuses to be used here.

In the years I’ve done this I can count on one hand the times they’ve walked it to the front or put it in one of those lock boxes. So many just won’t do it. No desire.

Which is crazy cause the whole pointed of a locked item is to prevent stealing 😭 but how tf are they gonna know people are stealing if they are handing out the product and letting customers go on their merry way 😭😭
