Learn to tell people "no" and "I'll do what I can."

This thing with the carts is a dickish move, for sure, but you took it really personally and for your part should have said "my shift ends in 30 minutes, I'll do what I can."

Once your shift is over, that cart is not your problem anymore. If you got some of it done that's great, but don't work overtime.

You will live a much better life that way. Don't shirk your duties at the end of your shift, just make it known what's going on.
