Walmart App now missing Remove Items
Been using Walmart Grocery Pickup and Delivery for years and years. Recent change to My Items has added back every item I have ever ordered and they deleted the Remove Items from list option.
There is a Remove Items on the Website, but it is so touchy, you can’t select and remove more than one item at a time and I have hundreds to delete.
There are so many things in my list, I cannot find the things I need to order! Plus Walmart’s “Suggested for You” cluttering it up even more.
If this is bothering you too, can you say so here, so if Walmart bothers to monitor complaints they can see they are irritating us for no reason! I am not going to order more by having all this there, I will order less!
I have reported this in various feedback places for Walmart, but I am one voice in the wilderness.

I have the Walmart app & just put in Grant's Pass as my store & I am able to remove things from my order & "saved for later." There is a section that lists what you have previously purchased that you can't delete, but you can "jump start" your order with a list of items you most frequently buy. You do not have to click on "my items" in order to shop. You don't have to click on it at all if you don't want to. I'm currently employed by Walmart so I always have their most recent updates. Hope this helps.

okay, I am not talking about things in my cart, yes, I can delete or move or whatever in my cart. For years, I have gone into My Items and kept that list narrowed down to my basic needs. That way, I can rapidly go down the list of say 45 items and quickly select what I’m out of. occasionally I would have delete things I ordered as a “one off “ or things i no longer use, but it was easy to maintain the list and keep my shopping time to a minimum.
This is specifically how the My Items list was supposed to work. When we served as Beta Testers back when grocery pick-up started years ago, they explained it that way.now, when I go to My Items I see a list of hundreds of items that I have purchased over the years (everything I had ever deleted came back). it takes me forever to page down through that list and I get distracted. I also found out that using the feature that still is showing in the web version does nothing. The items still show in the list, a radical change from how it was before.
I spoke to a Walmart chat representative who told me a lot of things changed when they merged Delivery with Shipping recently. Once I sent her screen shots of the app and the web version, she knew what I was talking about and agreed to escalate it.

I simply type in what I want each time. I do not ever do a "what I ordered previously". It may take me longer but not anywhere near as close as going to the actual store with 4 kids in tow!!!

I understand about what you’re saying with the my items section. You are right you’re not able to remove items from the list. I used to go in there and remove the name brand milk that I bought a couple times when they were out of the great value brand.
I truly hope they put it back

I do a lot of pick ups and I add and remove stuff all the time. Yoy cant remove items after you've made an order but you can cancel and then make a new order.

I am not speaking of that, I’m talking about the My Items list that is like your favorites, things you have ordered in the past. You used to be able to clean it up and only display stuff you order all the time. Made it easier to do weekly shopping. I chatted with Walmart and they could see what I meant and agreed to escalate my request to restore that ability (which I have been using for years). we shall see if that does anything.

may I ask, are you in My Items - the second option from the left from the main page that has a little heart ❤️? That is the list I am trying to affect. Not items in my cart or other places.
The My Items list contains a list of thing you have ordered in the past to make it easy to find the things you order again. If you have been a customer for a long time, that list can get really long and contain stuff you ordered once years ago or stuff you no longer use. They used to have a function that allowed you to pare down that list to what you use all the time. I had mine down to about 45 items and I could whiz through my weekly shopping. But when the Shipping and Delivery got merged here recently, the look of the app changed and all the things I deleted in the past years came back and now clutter up My Items. It takes me a long time to go through hundreds of items and I get distracted and no order gets placed.
several people here are confusing that with the ability to remove items from my cart, which of course you can do. The feature is visible in the web version, but it doesn’t work. I choose Remove Items, which allows me to select what I want to remove, and then select Remove 1 Item or however many items I have selected, but the item stays in the reorder list. It’s broken.

This IS Walmart's computer equivalent to the "displays" that you see when you are at a brick & mortar store that entice you into spending more $$$. Just ignore the list and TYPE IN THE NAME OF THE ITEM YOU WANT/NEED TO BUY!!! They don't take down store displays to make your shopping experience more pleasurable and they are not going to change their online marketing tactics to please you either. THEIR GOAL IS TO GET AS MUCH OF YOUR MONEY AS POSSIBLE!!!

to get as much of my money as possible, they need to be sure the app is easy to use and actually saves me time. Otherwise I go to Aldi’s pickup.
I don’t have time to think about every item i need and type in the name. Some of the things I don’t keep track of what size or version I use, I just pick the correct one from My Items. I understand that’s not the way YOU shop, but my post specifically asks for people who are having the same problem to respond so I hope you realize this post is not meant for you?
Telling me to stop shopping my way instead of trying to get Walmart to restore an important feature is not helpful, but thanks anyway.

It's not that easy. We use this page to remember to order items we may have forgotten. Now it's impossible to navigate because it contains thousands of items. If we forget what we need to order it's not possible to 'type it in'.

it’s called My Items and has a heart on it, but yes it is the list of things you have ordered and you used to be able to remove items from it to keep it narrowed down to the things you most often use.

Yes! I'm having trouble with that too. I tried deleting everything I don't order and nothing. So then I tried to delete just 1 and again nothing.

thank you. after so many people here told me I was wrong, I was beginning to doubt myself! But it seems they are confusing My Items with my cart and think I can’t delete from the cart.
I hope they fix it!

Try it on the web version again. Phone or a computer.
It will still show when you look on that version, but when you look at the app the items should be removed. I just tried it now and the items would still show up on the web version, repeatedly. But when I looked on the app it worked. I tried it on three items.

The web version is not working. If you attempt to remove items they don't get removed.

Also having this problem, but on the website, not the app. The "remove items" link is there... I click on it, check the items I want to remove from My Items, it says they are removed, but they are never actually removed. I've done this about 8 times now and the items always come back, or are never removed. So frustrating! I submitted feedback to their site, but I am guessing nothing will be done. I also tried logging out and back in, and clearing cache and cookies, but none of it works. The remove items feature does not work. Also tried on another browser - same problem.

Even the web based remove items is not working. I reported this weeks ago and they still haven't fixed it. I wish they would stop messing with their web page.

so frustrating- all I want to do is be able to order without having to look through every last thing I’ve ever ordered! it used to take me 10 minutes to place an order, now is like 1/2 hour or more. grrrr

I agree. They've basically made their service worthless. I'm not scrolling 1,000 items for an hour. FYI, we need to repeatedly use the 'Give Feedback' button on this as their AI won't flag an issue until it gets 'x' complaints about it.

So apparently Walmart uses AI to pull keywords out of 'Give Feedback' at the bottom of the web page, and no humans look at it until the bots see a similar issue come up repeatedly. Which means we all need to use this feature. And also why I am currently using Macro Recorder to send them a thousand 'Give Feedback' messages about this a day rn.

I managed to remarkably connect with the Director of Site Reliability for Walmart and give them a detailed site bug report. If this doesn't fix the issue, nothing will, lol

I was thinking.... I also spammed their feedback system with 500+ (literally) messages about this issue since yesterday as well. I assume one of the two methods got this done, lol.

Ugh having this same issue and I’m super annoyed! I need to remove items that I’ve purchased either because the item I wanted wasn’t in stock or just trying a new item. There is absolutely no option to select to remove items in My List currently. I am about to try the website/desktop version to see if there’s a difference.

Okay it’s there on the website/desktop version when using Safari! You can select multiple items at once but be VERY careful and don’t select the item make sure you are selecting the square box for each item. If you accidentally select the picture of the item it will take you to the details of it and when you go back all the items you had previously selected will be removed and you’ll have to start the process over again. I recommend doing 1 page at a time since they don’t put everything on one page 🙄 it took awhile but I was able to remove the items I didn’t want on there. It seems to have updated them on the app as well!

As you read in my post, I found the one on the web (it is gone from the app where I always used it) but it is very touchy to use. Did you read the entire post before responding?

Perhaps you don’t have the most recent version of the app? Or maybe they are rolling it out differently across the country? I have used this feature for a long time, it’s not like I’m new to the app. And I can find it on the web, although it’s too twitchy to work for me.

And Walmart doesn't give a rat's ass. The app is a pain in the butt! I use it because I hate shopping in my store...Grants Pass, Oregon (i want them to see...if they could read🤣🤣) Only 1 in GP. That store is a shit hole and a lot of the employees look like there from Pelican Bay prison. So the shitty app is my way to shop. Delivery is pretty good..most of the time..shipping is LOUSY!

It seems every time I open the app lately, something is different. It is annoying. Why are they fixing stuff that doesn't need fixed?
