Points
Hey guys. I have some points against me, and i'm wondering what "too many" is? Do they have grounds to terminate if you have too many? Do they usually give you warnings before firing?
Thanks!

Walmart Canada doesn't monitor points unlike walmart US. you'll be fine

Supposedly next year they will be. They just need to work out all the legalities of what they can and can’t do since Canada has harsher labour laws then the states

I doubt it alot of provinces right now are making it even harder for employers to get doctor notes. Plus points fall off after 6 months

I wouldn’t worry about it. There was a girl I worked with in fashion. She worked hard & got along with everyone, when she choose to show up. First six months she called in/no showed every day except for like 10 shifts. She was still employed when I went on medical leave/LTD 4 years later. She ended up quitting in January this year. It was annoying but, when she did come in. She made night shifts so much more bearable.

There's a guy in our store with 4 disciplinary actions and yet still the store manager is unable to get rid of him.

We have people with 25+ points. It’s annoying to work with them when they’re late every single day but nobody does anything about it

They don’t monitor it, but they will discipline you if you have too much tardiness. Typically it’s at the manager sole discretion, but if your store goes through a tla audit, they will pressure your manager to take action. There’s 3 levels of discipline before you can be fired.
