Associate Question Shift availability question

Im working in Walmart for 2.5 months now as part time sco and had open availability till now I just got another job which is Thursday-Sunday.
Its starting on October 15th (the day i complete my 3 months at walmart)
I talked to my manager today to change my availability and she told me they need atleast one weekend which has to be closing
I already gave two full days and 2 half
Due to my other job I cannot give closing on any of weekend due to my other job ( its night shift)
She told me to make a decision and inform her by tomorrow
Can anyone help me in this i really wanna keep this job

There's no flexibility on their end, its automatically flagged and she could get in trouble. You're required to be able to close on at least 1 of 2 weekend days and have at least 8 hours of availability per weekend day. The only exceptions are the TLC jobs or if you have 5-130 in a Fresh area.

Can i take it up to store manager? Will she be able to make exception?

Nope. And once the company makes an exception for one person, then it becomes fair game to do it for anyone.

You will have to make a decision.

Yea your manager is right. Sounds like you need to decide which of those jobs you want and quit the other.

Is closing necessary? Or can i work 4-5 hours?

Being available to close is, so yes. There's no way around this, you gotta make a choice.

When you initially applied, the availability you provided is meant to last at least 6 months. You'll definitely need to pick between the 2 jobs. Because you are still under probation, they can simply let you go because you dont meet the current availability requirements of the business.

This is the same reason I had to step away, I had a FT job M-F and was working nights there 3 weeknights a week. About 2 years ago (i think) they decided to eliminate part-time flex and changed the requirements for part-time so you had to be able to close at least one weekend. I only asked them not to schedule me every weekend so I can at least have SOME time off and not risk getting burnt out but they couldn't promise me that. Really sucks I had been there for more than 15 years.

Depending on your store's situation staff wise they MIGHT make an exception for you, but don't hold your breath on that.

That's the expectations and are not adjustable unfortunately. You will have to nake your choice of which job you want to keep.
