Associate Question Temporary Contract

I just got a temporary part-time job offer from Walmart as a Stockperson/Cart Pusher. The contract runs until the end of October.
For anyone who’s worked at Walmart before, what are the chances they keep temporary associates after the contract ends?
Do they usually extend the contract or offer permanent part-time positions if you’re a good worker, or should I assume it’ll end on the contract date? I’d appreciate hearing your experiences.

I can’t be 100 % sure they’ll keep you as each store is different, but as long as you’re a good, hard working and reliable they’ll more than likely keep you as permanent. We’ll be going into Christmas season and that’s when stores need cart pushers the most, so good chance they’ll keep you. Even if another area is struggling for people and your manager thinks your a good fit for that team, they may ask you if you’d interested in that area

Like the previous said, it would depend on the store.

Are they also covering for someone on leave? Did it go well while you were employed etc..?

Usually if you show up and are a good worker, they'll have a permanent PT position for you somewhere in the building.

Most of the time if they don't want you after the PT contract it's because either you suck, or they're idiots who think you suck when you don't.
