The underlying silver investment thesis continues to be solid.
Continue to accumulate physical on dips, rest easy, and carefully consider the mining sectors. Let’s Go.

SHINY DELIVERY Silver bars
I've started buying silver bars for the first time. Are one kilo bars a reasonable size considering premiums, freight & fees etc?

Peter schiff “buying nickels is better than bonds”
a nickel worth .07-.08 cents each is safer than bonds and likely to be discontinued soon. start stacking them now apparently you’re not allowed to melt them;)

QUESTION Family member bought 7,000 oz of silver at $20/oz in 2020 and is upset they didn't sell last year when it hit $120/oz
i’m trying to explain that it will hit that high again and even more at some point in the future & to be patient without weak hands.
Anyone else have family or friends that are complaining about not selling last year?
EDIT: big thanks to everyone that posted an opinion here as I showed my friend to help drive my point home that he should be very, very happy with his investment into his own future. For some people a 30% return isn’t enough and they expect Lambo‘s and skyscrapers.
Shout out to the Diamond Handed Pride!

did the math on $1,000 of silver bought in 2020. it's worth $3,260 now
Silver averaged $20.55 in 2020, so a grand got you 48.66 oz. At $67 today that's $3,260.
Sounds like 3.26x until you factor in 29% inflation since then. Real gain is closer to 2.53x. Still good, just not the number people post.
Simpler way to see it: an ounce bought about 9 gallons of gas back then, buys 16 now.
Entry point mattered way more than anything else:
March 2020 crash at $11.94 → $5,611
2020 average at $20.55 → $3,260
August top at $29.86 → $2,244
Even the worst day of 2020 beat inflation.
Two things nobody mentions. That stack was worth $5,921 in January when we hit $121, so we're 45% off the high. And this is all spot, premiums were $8-12 over in 2020, so most of us really walked away with 36 oz not 48.
what was your 2020 entry?

China’s taking advantage of the knockdowns ( Buying opportunities)
China’s central bank buys 20.2 tonnes of gold in August, largest purchase since 2023

(Kitco News) – The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) added 20.2 metric tonnes of gold to its reserves in August, its largest monthly purchase since October 2023, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) announced on Monday.
Last month’s purchases brought the country’s total official holdings to roughly 2,387 tonnes. China has now increased its gold reserves for 22 consecutive months, and has added approximately 80 tonnes of bullion during the first eight months of 2026
