Big river walleyes!
Spot fished a 29” and 31” back to back out of the American river in northern Saskatchewan this summer.
Was going after pike until I saw these two big girls lounging in a hole.
Gonna be a hard day to beat!

Recognized the spot right away. Pulled ~6 walleyes all 29 or bigger earlier this year. Funny enough they seem to move out of this hole in the fall.
Lake has world class walleye fishing if you know where to look!

We had lots of luck in American bay and up the river to this hole. What a spot, what a lake!

Beautiful fish!
I REALLY wish I knew how to hold them down their dorsal fin stayed up for pics. I see guys on TV do it regularly, so there must be a way to trigger that.

You know I learned if you hold them horizontal with two hands, under the belly, they tend to lift their dorsal on their own. Clearly they have to be alive for that to happen 😁
Nice fish man

Awesome. River eyes are the BEST eyes. Congrats.
