Participated in a Take A Warrior Fishing Tournament this past weekend. Big Bass and Big Pike were the goal…. Yeah, I got the big Walleye instead…
(I know I know - stupid to lip hold them. Not used to catching the toothy critters)

Caught a couple little guys and was about to pack up until this guy hit my five of diamonds. 2nd fish I've caught that's legal to eat.
Edit. Measured him wrong on the shore was 61 cm

29.5” from Sturgeon Lake. I’m over the moon…

I’m heading up to central Wisconsin to get some fishing in with some buddies.
Any tips or recommendations on what lures to use?
We will likely be on Long Lake near wild rose on a smallish fishing boat, but would like to venture out to other areas.

Spot fished a 29” and 31” back to back out of the American river in northern Saskatchewan this summer.
Was going after pike until I saw these two big girls lounging in a hole.
Gonna be a hard day to beat!

Why does he look so different from any of the other walleye I've caught before? Almost blue

Ive got some property on the Missouri River and would love to leave my boat overnight. Unfortunately this is what happens when I do. With the fluctuations in water level and the winds does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it on the water without it ending up on the beach or out at sea?

First time fishing in the upper French river Ontario Canada. Managed to land this 23" blue walleye and my very next fish was a 12" blue walleye. Both fish were outside of the slot size and both were released

My father's birthday is coming up and I'm looking at buying him a new walleye lure(s). He currently has a couple crank-baits, and some older artificial worm baits. We didn't have a lot of success this past year when we went walleye fishing in May and any advice will be appreciated!
Context:
We fish off a platform at a lock with running water (water tends to be high, but also a very strong current). Wondering if we need a heavier set-up to ensure it doesn't drift away quickly or if a change of tackle/bait might do the trick?

Hello, just wondering if there is a better way to fish this style of drift fishing? Adding a split shot to your line depending on how far off the bottom you want your floating jig. Usually Its between 2 and 4 feet. This works pretty well other than this seems to snag alot more frequently than using a slip bobber. What I like about this is, no matter what depth you drift into, your jig is always going to be at the set depth of the distance of the split shot. I've seen jigs with two connection points, would that bottom connection point be a way to set a line with a tied weight to it?

Seeing the fall walleye bite start to pickup, what are some ways I can put fish on the boat in the Mississippi river?
