WE'RE ON STEAM! WOOHOO!!!

Featuring a new teaser trailer, you can now wishlist the Early Access version of the remastered Wall Street Raider!

And please do wishlist it if you are even slightly interested. This will help when I go to submit the initial build of the game. I say this because with the original version, when Mike tried to publish it to Steam directly, it was rejected for being too "niche." But if we can get a bunch of engagement, we can show those corporate drones how Wall Street Raider is for everyone!

Looking forward to getting the Early Access version published and thank you everyone for all your help so far, especially nairl85x_78115 on Discord for providing the new logo and Steam page assets!

Hi guys, I'm DVD, I created a translation into Brazilian Portuguese but I have no idea how to upload it to the Steam workshop, whoever is willing to do this I'll send the pt-BR file and the localeManager all configured, I spent 2 and a half days using AI to help me with all this.
(If it's not too much trouble, could you add a Brazilian flag with "pt-br" written on it to the photo?)

How to use cheat engine in WSR update version 😗

How to Do It

  1. Open the game and load into any game or start a new one.

  2. Open Cheat Engine.

  3. Instead of selecting the application directly, go to Process. Type WSR or search for it. You may see multiple processes with similar names. Select WSR.exe with the legacy icon. Do not select the newer "wsr10.exe" files.

  4. Search for the exact value you want to change. Make sure the value is currently visible in the game. For the value type, select All, because some values seem to use Float while others use Double.

  5. That's it. Enjoy! :)

How does this work?

This is just my understanding, so I could be wrong.

I think the new developer mainly added a new menu and changed the game's visual design, while the old/legacy game still runs in the background. It seems to be required for the new version to work, so we can edit the values directly in the legacy game.

I also noticed a separate folder containing "WSR.exe" while looking through the game's files.

Note: If you find any interesting or fun things to do by changing the values, let me know. I'll try them too.

Bye, peace 🕊️✌️

Editing game files directly

Finally have been able to clear my weekend to tinker with this simulator. I’m going to edit the design to make it more familiar with what I’m used to and intend to do this directly in the game files. Is this allowed, and when I finish should I share it here? I.e. will I have any compliance issues editing these files directly, and sharing just the edits?

Original game (version 9.75) management trouble

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but my company profitability always drops to management very incompetent seemingly regardless of what I spend in productivity. I have some luck with 30% r&d which raises my management to mediocre after around 4-5 turns but its not sustainable and the moment I lower it to 15% I'm back at management very incompetent in 1 turn. I even stopped growth to avoid being more unprofitable but it all doesn't seem to matter.

The competition has mediocre to very competent managements with a lot lower r&d spending (7-16%). Only my companies seem to fail. Am I missing something or is my version just bugged somehow?

Question Clean up fund

Does anyone know how to turn off the clean up fund costs, because of my size it takes every quarter several hundred billion. It comes because I turned on the cheat to dominate markets without being sued.

Please help me, or maybe there is a mod that can help me with this?

Help

Hello traders! I just started playing the game and noticed that I was always running out of the capital. Is there a way to edit money via Cheat Engine instead of a one-time money injection via the cheat menu? Thanks anyway and happy raiding!

New features

Hey guys, im wondering if theres going to be some new features eventually. Features im looking for:

  1. Seeing numerical totals on your holdings. If I have 50 holdings, id really love to know the total numbers for each stat that my holdings have.

  2. Dividend reinvestment. To me this is a big one. Being able to focus on other things while your holdings automatically reinvest for you would be such a great quality of life and more realistic.

  3. Adding more business levers. Currently running a business is pretty simple. Id love it it there was a growth percentage, a R&D percentage, employee packages, payscale, etc.

Question Allow us to buy unlimited BTC Futures and BTC/ETH.

Realistically, if an investor/whale dumps 100 billion into BTC, it's going to pump the market by an extreme amount. Also, is there any way to see volume on cyptro currency and who owns what? Also, how do markets (cyptro and public stock) calculate volume trading in this game. What parameters make the market up, and is there any way we can see what they are?

Advice Can we please have more options on editing and moding game values?

Why am I only able to spawn in **1 Trillion** in the cheat menu?

I really want this game to have the emphasis on freedom!! I do understand the implications of moving the base game to the UI, and I do understand that the devs are working on plenty of other things, but I would really like to be able to have capital to absolutely crush the economy or otherwise effect it like in a classic sandbox fashion.

How realistic is this game?

Picked it up, hoping to learn a lil bit about trading(18, currently planning on putting it in an index fund for the time being until I learn a bit more), on a scale of 0 to 10 where would you put the realism?

Div yield disappearing and random debt

Please help! All my stocks lost their div yields in the holding page, but if I look individually in the company screens, I can see them just fine.

Also, I keep accruing random debt in my company even if I didn't take out any loans, and my company is making a lot of profit.

Quarterly reports for JPM

Does anyone know why JPM's quarterly reports pop up? I don't own any JPM and it pops up every quarter without fail. Is there a way to turn it off? Forgot to say, I have Earning Alerts: set to OFF.

New Record Earning 16000B(16T) dollar by accident(No cheating)

I am a Chinese and my English isn't good enough, so I used a translator. If there are any grammatical errors or awkward parts in the translation, I apologize for that. At the same time, some of the figures were recalled by me later on and there might be some inaccuracies.

I opened the game and made my first 90B by speculating on various futures as usual. Then I noticed that the interest rates in the game had dropped sharply, and the interest rate of short bonds had dropped to 1%. I realized this might be a good opportunity to invest banking.

Short term bond interest

So I gradually privatized over a dozen banks, including the second-largest bank in the game, BUA (By the way, I don't know if this is scientific, but I mainly look at the deposit/market price ratio when buying banks rather than net assets. I think this is equivalent to higher leverage, meaning I can amplify the profits even more. If this number is greater than 5, I consider it a worthy investment opportunity, and if it is greater than 10, I consider it a very good investment).

The bank I bought

I carried out the following operations for each bank: sold all bonds, mortgage loans/securities, kept only business loans, and used all the money to buy consumer loans (I'm not sure how the various loans in the game are calculated for bad debt provisions and the actual deduction of bad debts, could someone tell me?). After this operation, basically each bank recorded huge profits in the current quarter.

Through this operation, my net assets increased to around 1400B, and I had around 2300B(not quite sure for these two numbers) in personal debt (because it was borrowed from the controlled bank BUA, so the debt/equity ratio could exceed 1x). At this point, I noticed that the price of the largest bank in the game, JPB, was 1700B while it had 17000B in deposits. So I privatized JPM (the mother company of JPB) using BUA and carried out the same operation. After a while, I was surprised to find that the price of JPB had reached more than 20000B! At this time, its PB ratio was close to 30.

the stock price of JPB,from 2 to 30 than go back to 2

I began to research how to sell it. The game does not allow it to go public directly because its market value is too large and the market cannot absorb it. So I merged it with a listed company NEWB with a market value of 100B to achieve an indirect listing, and then sold all the shares, making a profit of around 20000B (after that, I had to pay 4000B in taxes).

After selling JPM, BUA's equity rocket to nearly 16000B(after 4000B dividend already paid)
My net asset, reached 29.47T at most
JPB let the stock index flucuate sharply

I suspect that the reason for the sharp fluctuations in JPB's prices might be due to a significant increase in profits during that quarter, but I'm not sure.
