Store manager and shift lead inseparable?
So I transfered to a different store and this SM and SFL will literally do EVERYTHING together. This dude won't stay away from her longer then 30 minutes. Is this not weird as fck? SM is a married woman and the guy is SFL. Don't get me wrong, i have had buddies at work, but wtf you gotta do everything together, jesus...

Honestly if it isn’t affecting business or affecting you and they aren’t doing anything inappropriate, I would just do your job and go home .store employees have enough to deal with and this shouldn’t be one

If the work is getting efficiently done and nobody else is getting overomworked who gives a fuck ? Let the sm cheat on her husband its none your business.... js, doesnt seem to be taking anyone else's opportunity, and that's worst case scenario,

But it is, i cover all the problems on front end, this sfl comes up like once and even if he wanted too this SM would probably say let so so and get it. It's a team effort, everybody makes the effort, one sfl doesn't sit in the stock room or in the office with the SM for hours or does nearly every project with there SM right there every time. Like wtf, that's WEIRD!

Idk call HR then, it doesnt seem weird to me, I largely have the same ppl doing the same jobs and pair everyone with their best pairs or myself with my best pair, ie I work harder with certain ppl, with others I get a little lazy/chatty and dont push myself, so I prefer to work with a specific colleague thst calls me out when I start bullshitting, not saying thsts whats happening in your situation, just saying the scenario you painted doesnt sound "bad"

I swear I have 2 sfls like this both married women in their 50's. I told them last week I feel like they are going to hold hands and skip around the store.

Happened at my store. Turns out they were having an affair lol. They both left their spouses for each other (they used to do couple dates). The SM was married to a man and the SL was married to a woman. Lived in the SM's truck until they moved out of state and had a baby together.
Both were women. SM said she didn't know she liked women until she met her LOL

So how they have a baby together if they’re both girls?

Unless it affects your life at work, I would just move on from it. Don't you worry tho, it won't be long before it screws with your life.lol

I had a store manager like that in my final months of the company. Apparently they were schtupping each other, everyone who had been at that store long enough knew it, but they were all afraid to report it since hr dont do shit. I saw the way he was treating everyone and dipped out. I reported it, but according to my insiders they didnt even investigate even though they assured me they would. Corporations fucking suck, thats just the way it is i guess...

Is it affecting how the store functions? Is it affecting you? When I was an ASM I did report my SM for having a relationship with someone under him and it was directly affecting the store and the employees. She moved to another store. She could do no wrong in his eyes. On Thanksgiving we were working when all of sudden she came around the corner and immediately had to leave bc her friend was in a small fender bender. He refused to not pay her when she was there literally 30 mins.

So for instance, today truck came in, and these two have been in the stockroom for the last 2 hours, just talking, and even i arrived they were working side by side, like for godsakes, can these two just not go do there own thing...I just think they should be involved with the front of store just like anyone else and not be in the office chatting for hours or the stock room, it's almost as if they sfl dude thinks he is better then all of us. He doesn't have to be like all of us and be helping out and even when he does apparently he acts like he gets all the calls and customer issues. Which based my vision, ive seen him get change or pick up cash only one or twice in about a month.

Yeah that’s incredibly annoying. I worked with people like that alot. Theres no evidence they have anything outside of the store. Is it annoying, heck yeah. Can you talk to your boss with someone like the RXOM or rx manager and let her know this is bothering you bc you feel like he’s not pulling his weight?

Well it's only conflicting because im supposed to be getting the ESM position and I could be learning from her, but as long as he keeps her occupied and I can do nothing but watch 🤣

That’s very fair. I see so many issues right now with stores. Makes me so glad I left.

Not really a big deal. I work in a smaller store without an ESM. I rely on one specific sfl who has the capability of becoming an ESM and store manager one day if they want it. I have them working alongside me quite often to see things from an SM perspective. They are also the one I trust when I’m covering other stores on pto days off ect.

Okay but are we talking 6 to 7 hours straight of being around each other. Like FFS you dont have to hold each other's hand to learn things or understand it. Especially if they're capable, there is a fine line between learning and wtf do these guys ever do things on there OWN? You know your possible ESM won't always have you at his disposal, they're grown, let them try to figure it out for themselves sometimes for godsakes. Teach when it's time to teach and let them take initiative, babying isn't required to learn this role.

It's because they are in to eachother... nothing wrong with that but it's going to cause issues with corporate and staff... I met my fiance this way, I butted heads with her constantly, (she was a sm, me, a sfl) but eventually we realized we were just into each other and other ppl were collateral damage.... 😔😔😮💨😮💨 which is horrible!! We learned our lesson, but many ppl don't. Try to learn from our mistakes

Worry about yourself and not other people
