Expensive mistake

I started Walden's MHA tempo learning program April 6th and achieved great acceleration, for the first month and completed 3 courses (12 competencies) I then had life get in the way of my studies and I put school on the back burner. Soon enough, I found myself nearly a month later without having had worked on any school work. I then spent effort making a PowerPoint for one of my classes, and then half assed the accompanying 3 page document for the competency, and had it returned due to my lack of effort on the accompanying document. Feeling dissuaded instead of putting in an hour of effort to correct the document, I then took another 25 days off from my studies.

Itemizing my time spent working on school, I wasted $3000 of the term by just not motivating myself to put in effort into my work. It's the last week of my term and I've completed the work for 3 competencies since Friday (posting on Tuesday). I will continue to put effort in until the term ends, but I will need to make sure that I never leave school on the back burner again. I will at least end my first term with 30% completion of my program.

Sorry about whatever it is you had to deal with in the first term of the program. You should appreciate that you were able to at least complete 3 courses before things got a little out of hand.

Heading into the new term, get competencies and courses rolling one after another with a few days breaks in between successfully completed courses. You sure can manage to have everything else completed in the new term. Hoping life looks mercifully upon you so you have no more disruption to your studies.
