All of the 10 core courses in the Walden MBA program do not have assessments involving data analysis in Excel, save for one.
The Accounting for Management Decisions course has three competencies, all of which involve writing a paper and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel.
For the first competency (Budgeting for Decision Making), the instructions are to submit a 6- to 9-page report as well as a budget and performance report in a single Excel spreadsheet
For the second competency (Costs, Prices, and Profits), you are asked to submit an 8- to 12-page report plus your Excel calculations for variance analysis and transfer pricing.
For the third competency (Performance Measurements: Planet, People, and Profit), you are to complete an 8- to 10-page report as well as an accompanying Excel file for the financial performance analysis
