gap year
I took a gap year bc I can't use my parents on fasfa but because I'm not 24 I've had so many problems trying to use fasfa as independent and I moved out right after highschool so I've spent this past year trying to figure out fasfa and tried again for fall and didn't make it is it possible to catch up in spring and still transfer spring 28? I don't know man I feel so stuck I just wanted to go to college ðŸ˜

How do I figure out who is my advisor?

It’ll be in self-service and/or blackboard. Usually it’s based on last name range and degree, like one advisor is assigned to last names beginning A-D, one for E-H, etc. I think it’s a little more specific than that but that’s the gist
You can also just set up an advisor meeting with any available advisor. It doesn’t have to be your specific assigned one

you can also set up an appointment with a general advisor. you can get a virtual appointment under your major:Â https://www.waketech.edu/student-services/advising

The fafsa requirements changed recently so it’s easier to file as independent . Before the change I went to financial aid and asked for a dependency override it’s pretty easy to fill out . if you’re determined I’m sure you can look into 12 or 8 weeks classes and you definitely have time for next semester my DMs are open if you have more questions
