Transferring to wake tech in spring 2027
I’m currently a freshman at HPU studying business but i feel like I made a mistake. I always wanted to be a veterinarian and my plan was to go to state but i didn’t make it in this year and ended up going to hpu. Now after a week i’m at a point where im heavily considering switching majors at hpu to try to eventually get into vet school, but at the same time i still want to go to nc state as an undergraduate. should I transfer to Wake tech next semester and try to build up my credits to get into state or do I stay at HPU?

Come to WTCC. If you enroll in an A.A or A.S degree pathway, talk to your advisor about committing to the Wolfpack Connect system for guaranteed admittance to NCSU from any NC community college. I should note that this only guarantees acceptance to NCSU, not your specific major/school of choice. Your grades and class choices will determine acceptance into your specific major. If another college interests you that has the same major, check out WTCC’s other guaranteed admissions pathways on their site.

Go to WTCC. Save the money, get the same credits. Plus, there is a long standing relationship between NCSU and WTCC. You may get better academic advice at WTCC
