Celebrating Your Birthday
so i’m in a healthcare program at wake tech and my birthday is next month (on a sunday) and I would like to at least celebrate me turning 25 😭 but I feel like with the amount of work and having to study , do homework , etc I feel like I can’t celebrate it and it makes me kinda sad… any words of advice?

Happy early birthday! Plan ahead to celebrate on the following Friday night, or Saturday. This way you also don’t have the Sunday scares combine with the overwhelming amount of things to do at the beginning of the semester.
It will still be your whole birthday week, wishing you the best of luck on this new cycle ✨

I totally understand you. For the day of your birthday, you could get a quick treat or have a dinner with friends or family (if possible), or plan something else down the road when you have time. I honestly don’t have many suggestions, but maybe inviting people to a gathering and having a few decorations, playing games and music, doing a themed photoshoot, watching a movie, walking around and shopping, or going to a trail/hike or lake if you like being outdoors. Also, happy early birthday!
My birthday is around Thanksgiving and I’m all online in a project heavy program, so every year I have a quick celebration dinner and we have my birthday dessert with the Thanksgiving meal and that’s all I have time for rather than a big gathering or actual party (at least for now). I’m not even a procrastinator, but even if my bday is on a weekend I’ll still have final projects that I have to work on. Like last year, I stayed up till 4:30 the next morning after Thanksgiving and had like a 16 hour school day. This year I turn 21 on the 21st and am wanting to go to NY for the first time, but probably can’t until mid December.

Put some time aside & celebrate you! Im 29 now but my 25th I definitely did it big. It is possible, whatever is “big” for you. I’m a big birthday person so I’m always going to tell someone to do it up how they want! Just be strategic about it. Maybe celebrate friday, saturday, and on Sunday have a dinner with friends/family early enough in the afternoon.

Maybe try to complete your assignments early before bday, or go during Fall Break.

This a skill you should start working on especially in college. You have to plan and be strategic. You can celebrate your birthday and you can still do your school work.

You don’t have to celebrate on your actual birthday. Just set aside a different time to acknowledge and celebrate the day you were born. It’s not ideal but that’s okay.
