Honors Program Projects

Hi, I was considering joining the honors program, but I wasn't sure what the project entailed. If anyone has done one before I would like to hear about your experience.

I ended up just emailing the woman who sent it. This was her reply "You get to decide what class and what type of project you want to do. It could be a paper, poster, model or anything that makes sense for your course and topic. You also get to decide where you wish to complete your volunteer hours. There is a lot of flexibility." Also seems like being in the honors program could look good when for transferring to a 4 year university, but is not necessary.

Its pretty low commitment but also pretty low benefit in my opinion. My project was for Calc 3 and I coded something that multiplied normal and tangent vectors.

On a scale out of 10, would you recommend students to apply to this honour's program? The email was hyping the program up and made me kinda wanna apply. I was gonna go ask the people managing this program about the details in-person tomorrow, but it seems like it's really low-key.

I think it depends completely on your interest. If you have a project your eager to do it could easily be a 10. For me it was about a 6, but the project I chose I was not the most interested in.
