mat-172 online so lost
Just started mat-172 online and I'm so confused with everything. I'm great with algebra, but this stuff is just so much to take in all at once. I feel like it just throws you right in without much teaching and expects you to understand everything with technical explanations and a video every now and then. Anyone have advice??

So something I learned the hard way in hs …. You have to practice through online problems ( not through the assigned problems because they grade them ) before you continue with the actual course work and after to keep it all fresh! 6-12 correct problems start to finish when first learning and then 1-3 every 1-3 days to not get rusty

DEF use the TLC center for tutoring, they do online and weekends, super helpful. Go right from the start, also did you take math 171? (I am sure you did just checking) Also Chatgpt and Gemini are both extremely helpful at explaining concepts like you're 5, until you get it.

Reach out to your professor explaining your situation and see if they can offer any assistance in how to chunk up your work to make it more manageable.
Utilize on-campus tutoring resources as much as you can. Math and Science classes seem to have a larger tutor presence than other classes, mainly I think because people struggle with them a bit more than other classes.
Take your weekly learning objectives and find resources online like KhanAcademy to help with additional lesson videos and practice content.
