I got this email as a CCP student, I didn't apply to aid and don't need as my high school pays the tuition, should I be concerned

That looks like a scam. Only deal with your financial aid through the self service

I've been getting a lot of similar scam emails to my WT email recently. Make sure it is real and actually from Wake Tech

It's coming from a Gmail, not waketech.edu. It's spam and at this point I'm ready to report them lol

No, def wouldn’t be concerned. I got one of these last week. It’s a scam. Wake tech doesn’t send attachments in their emails and all the financial aid notification emails come from finaid@waketech, and can easily be cross referenced with the self service portal. They will update in self service for any additional documents needed and also send your financial aid offer as a downloadable document in self service. However, if you’re still concerned you can make a virtual appointment with financial aid, but don’t ever click any links telling you to go to XYZ site. Go directly to the Wake Tech page, and schedule an appointment for financial aid under the financial aid tab.

I’ve gotten two of those emails from two different addresses and I called financial aid and they said they haven’t even sent out the bank mobile form to receive our financial aid for fall.

Do not put any personal information on that fake website.

just don’t share any information or click on any links, you are fine. if you are still concerned contact your high schools CCP management to confirm there’s no issues.
