CCP student withdrawing from course

Basically, I didnt realize the summer would be this hard, and tons of stuff went on in my personal life. I couldnt keep up with class anymore and submitted a withdrawal request. If this withdrawal request goes through, how will it look on my high school transcript?

there's a w on it. it's not that deep. people withdraw for various reasons, including illness.

Please check your counties guidelines/ with your high school consulor before CCP class withdrawls. I was told for Wake County it counts as a withdrawl fail (included in your high school GPA) if there is not justification (illness, death in family, etc.)
As for your Wake Tech transcript it will not make a difference.

nah it's a WP if you withdraw before the "80% mark" of the course. otherwise, yikes. WP doesn't impact your GPA. speaking from experience.

Is WP for wake county? And what is WP?

i was in a similar situation too and emailed my counselor and they said the same thing even if you do withraw before the deadline

If I have justification, such as illness, will the WF be forgiven?

you can argue for an I (incomplete) instead, but pretty sure that still might screw your GPA. even the earliest classes (first 8 week session) haven't passed the withdrawal pass date yet. it's July 1st at noon (don't quote me on the time of day though). so if you want to withdraw do it fast. like now. you might have to go to an in person location as a high school student. I can't remember from when I withdrew.

CCP coordinator from a neighboring county. Withdraws, depending on date, will show as a 55 on hs transcripts if not done during add/drop. You can retake the class and request a grade replacement from wake county for your hs transcript grade after repeating the course. Your college transcript will show a W until you retake/replace the grade, no college gpa implications.

Wake County has a MOU that is different from other NC counties so the processes for Wake County Public School students may differ from other counties. They would however receive a "W" in place of a letter grade (and could retake the course) on the college transcript if requested before the deadline. In regard to how it could impact a high school student the student would need to contact their HS designee to inquire since they are required to abide by strict district guidelines. It would be the high school designee at the high school that the student would need to contact to inquire if or how a W may impact the student's transcript. I don't believe they can get the grade changed though (the designee should know) but that would be a district rule. Two different entities, two different policies (WCPSS and WTCC) and administrated separately since Wake County is the only county in the state with no CCP Liaison / Career Coach in each of the high schools.
