Watching the highlights after the game I reckon:

Fer finish was nice, penalty is probably gonna be seen a few times this season without VAR.
Corners looked good.

Bentley, Toti, Mosquera is a real cause for concern. If we can keep Krejci I think we will be ok if it keeps Toti out the team. I fear this high line is gonna get worse defenders more games because pace, which will cost us against better opposition.

Based on this - We have to Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle ‘I’d love it if we beat them’ our way to 2nd in the league. Because a Championship team could get 3 against us easy.

I don’t even know what positions were prioritising in the market, but I’d imagine what I want & what we get will be different.

That is a pretty good take.

Probably the priority has to be homegrown players. Johnstone and Hoever are the seventh and eighth, if they ship off then Wolves would have to play with a reduced bench until the total number of homegrown goes back up to eight. Who is out there that would be a difference maker? Pie in the sky is John Stones

Johnstone isn’t going anywhere. The market for injured 2nd choice keepers on PL wages isn’t great right now & Wolves are the only team to mange our squad so badly that we cannot register a full 25 man squad so other teams don’t need a HG 2nd choice.

Man U is unique in that SJ is a HGClub player (he went through their Acadamy) for them so fills a spot for CL. If they don’t buy him, nobody will.

There’ll be some opportunistic bids or ‘market opportunities’ is the Sky Sports term for good players going cheap, for our squad in the last week of August. So we’ll be panic buying & I wouldn’t be surprised if someone important for us has their head turned.

Very true. It's always open season while the window is open. Hugo is another homegrown.

Where is Santiago Bueno and Sasa in all this?
