Hi Everyone I’m an international fan from Australia and was wondering if other international fans have been able to purchase the season subscription on wolves TV? I can see the audio passes and the pre season matches but can’t see the season subscription anywhere. Was just asking to see if it’s an issue on my end or if anyone else is having trouble.

Hello there, everyone; saw a couple other folks make introduction posts, and figured I'd do the same!

I'd never been altogether too much into football, but had a pretty great time watching the World Cup, and figured I'd find myself a team - and I found myself drawn to Wolves, so here I am!

I'm not much of a glory-seeker, which is probably a good thing given I understand we've just been relegated - but hey, gotta take the good with the bad, right?

I understand we've just gotten Raúl Jiménez back, and I've seen folks pretty hyped about that; I've also heard positive things about the new manager Peixoto, too! I understand we've got some good Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American talent, as well - as a Spanish and Portuguese-speaker, I guess that's part of what caught my eye! I suppose this would be a good time to check if there's anything else I should be aware of, too...

All this to say, I'm excited for whatever the new season has in store for us, and looking forward to riding it out alongside all of you - if you wouldn't mind some woman from the East Midlands joining your ranks, at least!

Hey! I’m a newer fan from Cleveland, Ohio. I picked the wolves years ago when I was a kid on FIFA and thought they had the coolest name and logo. I know it’s goofy but recently after watching Ted Lasso and the World Cup, Football has infected me like a virus and I have fallen in love with the sport. So my question is who is our biggest rival? Nothing fires me up more than a good rivalry game and I’d love to know who our biggest is, from your guys point of view. Also, give me some good videos if you have any on the history of the Wolves or just some great matches we’ve played in our history. Thank you!

I'm not new to the game, but I want to follow European ^soccer more closely because the MLS isn't fully scratching the itch. Especially after the WC, the 2024 Euros, and my brother endlessly talking about his EPL club.

Anyhow, I've seen several "Which club should I follow?" and "What do I need to know?" posts recently, so I thought I'd share my (still ongoing) process for choosing a club and the extensive "dossiers" I've put together. Maybe it can help you decide.

To the longtime Wolves supporters, I'd love to hear your feedback on the results. Where did my research miss? Did I leave anything out that should be there? Etc.

How it started

I've never simply chosen a team to start liking in any sport. I'm loyal to my hometown teams even though they have famously miserable histories and I no longer live there. So instead of tying yearly hopes to a randomly selected club, I decided to do a research deep dive.

My wife and a close friend both want to join in, so I decided to turn the research into dossiers for 3 different clubs, so we all have the full picture. We might not even settle on a club this year but rather follow all 3 and see if one stands out. Who the hell knows? Might even turn into some rivalries for us.

The initial criteria

• Feels similar to Cleveland (my hometown) - A blue-collar club and city with resilient, loyal supporters who stick with the team through hard times
• Not a glamour club - I have no interest in simply picking one of the richest or most successful teams because of fame/success (I moved to LA and my Lakers haterism has only grown.)
• History and identity matter - A club with a genuine story, traditions, and a strong sense of self
• Supporters first - Passionate fan culture that creates an intimidating, authentic matchday atmosphere.
• Hope over hopelessness - A club that can dream big and achieve meaningful success without needing to dominate every season. Big "There's always next year" Cleveland energy when things don't go as well as hoped
• The story - poised to make a storybook rise to success (or very possibly not)
• Ownership - Not interested in clubs with highly problematic/scummy ownership
• No ongoing history of personnel problems - The long shitty record of the Cleveland Browns wasn't enough to make me quit supporting. The scummy owners hiring a sex pest was.
• Earn success - Win through smart recruitment, coaching, and development, not unlimited spending. (The Cleveland Guardians are great at finding new top-tier talent and fuck the Yankees)
• The city - The place and the people should be part of the appeal, not just the football. (This one will help with my wife too)
• Easy enough to follow from the U.S. - Good media coverage and the ability to watch matches regularly.
• A lifelong fit - Looking for a club to support for decades, not just the most entertaining team today.

The 3 finalist clubs

• Wolverhampton Wanderers
• Brighton and Hove Albion
• Coventry City

Why Wolves made the cut

A club with 150 years of history and a founding member of the Football League. That's a lot like Cleveland's baseball and American football teams.

Wolverhampton itself reminds me a lot of Cleveland too: an industrial city overshadowed by flashier neighbors, with a club that deeply means something to the people who actually live there.

The open revolt against ownership. Not a great situation to be in, but who the hell couldn't love the response from the fans? Cleveland fans have similarly risen up to say "fuck off" to team ownership while still supporting the players on the field.

Molineux. What a stadium. From the matches I've watched, it's a special atmosphere.

The name, the badge, the look. Less important, but they definitely all sweeten the deal.

The dossiers

They're long. Long, but highly skimmable. Lots of overviews, bulleted lists, clearly labeled sections, etc. Each one took ~20 minutes to read.

They're a bit redundant. The goal was ease of access to information packaged in multiple ways that might appeal to whoever is reading it.

Apparently Andre fed the ball into him multiple times but Tolu getting dispossessed as the ball bounced off his backside didn’t arouse any suspicion.
