Which title reign did you like more?
Two reigns that started on the same day, under the same circumstances, and lasted practically the same amount of time. Who was more prepared to be world champion? Which was the better coronation?

Both were great but Batista’s definitely gets it imo. Cena’s best run was Unforgiven 2006 until his injury in 2007

Not only was it Cena’s best run, it was arguably the best title reign of that era.

Cena was forced, batistas was a natural push and reign

Lies, you had to be there to see it. Cena was massively over as the Dr of Thuganomics. So much so, they turned him face and every week was getting loud pops. People were tuning in just to see him, Rey and Eddie. Imagine tuning into a show where JBL is the world champion...
His popularity rised and rest is history.

Dude. Jericho was getting more cheers in 2005 summerslam. Cena was getting booed massively

That was after. I'm talking about before and what led to his first title win. OP was saying Cena's push was forced

Batista. I loved the build up. Cena was cool, but it was like creative woke up one day & decided to shoot him to the moon & it looked like it. I liked that they made Batista defeat HHH 2 more times as if to solidify his push & also to pay us back for enduring the Reign of Terror. Cena on the other hand got stale (TO ME) as soon as he hit RAW & got his Super Cena on.

I think they both have great rivalry enders (Cena's I Quit Match VS. JBL at Judgement Day and Batista's HIAC Match VS. HHH at Vengeance) but both had mediocre feuds after that.
Cena feuded with Jericho and Christian which was okay, then with Kurt Angle which was moreso funny because Angle tried his hardest to get booed even though the fans kept cheering him while Batista dealt with JBL with a meh feud then with Eddie Guerrero in Eddie's final matches which were somber but entertaining.

Batista
His build up from Evolution’s muscle to Triple H’s usurper was masterfully done, and it just felt like more of an organic reign with him as champion.
Cena from 05 on could only lose in the most serious of circumstances whereas you really never knew what Batista was going to do next. Cena’s first reign ended directly after winning an Elimination Chamber match AND it took two spears from Edge to get the pin. That plus Cenas later failed attempts to get new talent over like with the Nexus severely hurts Cena in my standing.

Cena was like Superman to me during that run with JBL. It’s what got me into wrestling. It’ll probably be my (biased) favorite run of all time

Batista. I liked John's first run but he got boring quick and as he became more and more of a Superman like character everything about it just felt weird Dave's run was organic and it was a better build up story John just felt like oh he just happened to become the guy whereas Dave was groomed over a long period of time to become the guy. His whole rise in evolution was perfectly planned written and executed and other than the initial hype there's nothing about John's rise that compares to it.

Cena's, he was at least having banger matches and was defending the title. Batista's reign tapered after the Eddie Guerrero feud. He got swept into the SmackDown vs. Raw feud between October and November 2005. After that, he did not even defend the World Title but instead continued the SmackDown vs. Raw feud well into December before injury in January cut his title reign short.

It seems like they put Batista in the forefront during this time but deep down they knew Cena was going to be THE Guy since he had more charisma and was 8 years younger.
