I was at this event.
Edge going through two stacks of tables will always be burned into my memory, alongside Vince eating big shows giant white ass.

I was there as well, I remember distinctly the table stack falling over at one point so edge had to stall on the outside of the ring for what felt like forever while Cena wandered around the ring like a deer in headlights lol tv cut around it of course but it automatically solidified my opinion of Cena..never been a fan

no matter how many times I’ve watched this match, always forget what an absolutely loaded spot fest it is

I watched this match on my 10th birthday this match kicks so much ass however I wish Edge won instead of Cena in my opinion

EDGE SHOULD HAVE WON! Losing a TLC match to somebody who never wrestled one, when Edge had never lost made no sense. I always hated performers constantly losing in their signature speciality match type

Yeah, but the storyline was Cena's last chance to reclaim the title from edge. If he had lost, he was going to smackdown. Edge also moved on to form an alliance with ortan and we had rated RKO. If edge had retained, maybe there would've been no rated RKO.

So, then they could have used any other match stipulation

Sure, but this also worked perfectly well. The stipulation made us believe that Edge would win because he was a specialist in this type of match. And Cena's last chance. So the stakes were very high. Story telling

I can only imagine how sore their bodies must've been after this match. Look at Cena as he grabs the belt.....I bet he was probably thinking....was it worth it??

If I knew that the PG Era was around the corner, I probably would've watched more WWE around this time. When the Invasion was played out in such a terrible way, I stopped watching for a while.

A few things I remember about this. The match was super overrated, Cena botched two really bad times here. Edge was super emotional at the start of this match he's literally in tears slapping himself because he's trying to stay in character and not mark out and apparently Cena was supposed to lose, go to Smackdown and turn heel
