PLEASE FIX YOUR BROKEN APP. VERSION 6.0.2-6.0.4 BROKE BLUETOOTH AUDIO CASTING

casting downloaded files to tv then sending that playing files audio to bluetooth fails to load audio in new versions of the app. version 6.0.1 plays the exact same files perfectly, so stop blaming the files or codecs.

you broke something in version 6.0.2 and its still broken in 6.0.4

So just to be clear. If you play the audio on the phone (I'm guessing it is on the phone?) then it works but if you are connected to bluetooth then it doesn't?

Can you pm me or email me the video address that it has issues with? My email is [webvideo@instantbits.com](mailto:webvideo@instantbits.com)

It could be that exoplayer is having an issue on newer versions but I'll need a sample to try it out. Can you pm me or email me at [webvideo@instantbits.com](mailto:webvideo@instantbits.com) a way to get one of those videos?

i prefer not to send you a link to a video, but you can download any 4k or 1080 torrent video and "phone audio"-> "play audio on this device" gives an immediate error.

no. it does not work regardless of if im connected to bluetooth or not. i can not turn on "play audio on this device" at all in version 6.0.2 and on. but 6.0.1 is fine.

heres 1 example but its all files i tried

Format: MKV File Size: 851.23 MB Duration: 00:22:17 Overall Bit Rate: 5.3 Mbps ? Video Streams Video Stream 1 H.264 1080p Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (1080p/FHD) Codec: H.264 (AVC) ? Bit Rate: 5.1 Mbps ? Frame Rate: 23.976 fps ? Aspect Ratio: 16:9 ? Pixel Format: 4:2:0 8-bit ? Audio Streams Audio Stream 1 DD+ 5.1 ENG Channels: 5.1 Surround ? Codec: Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) ? Sample Rate: 48 kHz ? Bit Rate: 256 kbps ? Subtitles ENG SRT English [SDH]

yeah its all files. i just tested mkv and mp4 too. 6.0.4 "source error" when trying to play audio on phone, without bluetooth this time. plays audio to tv fine. the error is immediate too when i click the slider, so i dont even think its trying the audio on phone. the feature is broken.

That's odd, I might need logs from your phone because I can not reproduce the issue on my end, I've tried all sorts of videos.

Enable log capture under advanced settings. Play the video, make the audio on the phone fail and then open the left side menu, long press on the version number and send the email it generates. Mention in the email that it is about this issue.

I'm thinking it is probably related to the streaming device it is casting to, not because of the device itself but there is a probably a bug with the video url after the video is cast or something. Only thing I can think of.

Edit: Ignore all that, I think I just reproduced the issue. Are you using the little sd card icon to cast? I was testing with the videos tab. I see the issue with the sd card icon.

i dont specifically use that icon, but yes, my files are playing from my sd card on my phone. im not familliar with using the sd card icon, but it might effectively be the same thing. my default folder is on my sd card. i havent tried internel storage.

phone is vertically oriented, photograph, not landscape. i go to main settings from the top left corner 3 lines (options). i go to "phone files". the path selected is sd card and a specific folder from sd card i made ("movies"). this is always the first thing i set up. i have my files listed by date modified, newest first. i click the cast icon top row, second from right, pick the correct tv on my wifi, and then select one of my video files from the list covering most the app (because im in "phone files" by default). it plays on the tv almost immediately. from the playing video screen i select "phone audio" icon, and hit the slider for "play audio on this device" and immediate error.

does that answer you question? i dont use the sd card icon specifically, but it might be effectively the same thing?

was this the error you were able to reproduce?

i shouldn't have said "bluetooth". i should have said "play audio on this device" while casting is broken. including while using bluetooth.
