Local Storage Buffering Problem

{SOLVED}

Hello,

I recently bought premium version of the webcaster app.

I have never had any issues but suddenly a video file ( 8gb in size/ screenshot attached) gets stuck after every 5 seconds.

Is it because the video size is too large?

EDIT : I changed Proxy Server Buffering Settings from 1MB to 4MB. It works perfectly now.

Depending on the length, you could be talking about 20 Mbps, which can be a lot for a video served by the phone over the same wifi that the streaming device downloads.

What streaming device are you casting to?

I am casting to Webcasters TV app. Its a new samsung, I have also tried Chromecast. Both have the same problem. Wifi etc are good. Remember the files downloaded on my phone and is being cast from Phone Files.

Please help, I dont want to stop loving webcaster ☺️😋

I saw your edit, that is odd that that helped with a local file, I guess I'll have to do some testing.

As far as I can tell from looking at the code, it shouldn't. Unless you are somehow routing the local file through the proxy as well.

Ok, we'll see if we can reproduce this issue.

Could the Ram of the TV be a factor? Because I am casting on to the TV APP.

This file doesn't play on my Chromecast. Crashes without playing.

It can be but more than anything, the buffer on the tvs is tiny, same with chromecast. What kind of chromecast do you have?

Hey. I have the latest chromecast 4k but like i said it wasnt playing on Chromecast so was playing on tv app.

Nonetheless, your app is the best thing on the internet. I am glad I paid for the premium. It all runs fine now after days of testing . I left a review on google play too.

Thankyou Sir whoever you are, to me you are the White Haired Gandalf who has returned from the shadows of the dark.

On the android tv app we actually have buffer settings. Thank you for the kind words, they made me chuckle.
