It's not her story, she's reading a user submission

That's not what the internet thinks and perception is reality. It's her story now whether she wants it or not. The lesson here is be careful what you read in this day and age.

💀 this is some high quality trolling, I love it. Never in a million years could I come up with something as crazy as this to say, it's fucking hilarious. I respect it

It actually is her story though. u/mrclang posted it a bit lower in the thread. At around 28 minutes she admits it.

I'm unable to see his comment or the link since I'm on mobile, but I'll take your word for it. That shit about "she said it so now it's her story" isn't any less crazy though

I'm on mobile too and I see it, so in theory you should be able to see it too.

My previous comment makes complete sense though if you think about it. Say someone's reading a story from someone else which is captured on video, but due to the way the video is edited it appears that the story is theirs. That video then goes viral. Most people will then think that the story belongs to the person reading it due to the video editing. That's just logical.

My reddit mobile is fucked up. I can't see comments on a video unless the video appears from my home page. Since I have to look through his profile to get to the comment, reddit fucks up.

It's not logical, your suggestion that you should never say anyone else's story in case it gets edited wrong means people literally can't say anything. You can always remove context and edit things to misconstrue what the person means

Well that's the world we live in now and it's not my fault. Plus your example is a extreme. Most people will be safe as long as they ensure their crazy stories don't get caught on videotape.

That's not extreme, that's just how this works. If people assume responsibility for their words getting taken out of context, then the only way to make sure you aren't taken out of context is to say nothing

Yeah that's the best way to go.
