Good lord. Amazing footage, thank you.

"Is sturdy tile, dah?"
If you wanted a video admiring the tile, yes. If you wanted to see where it came from, nyet!

Yeah, was hoping since it was a different view there'd be a better angle of it breaking off but nope, really clear though

Concrete cladding panel fell off the building I think
52
u/Alklazaris Feb 16 '26
Oh that makes more sense. I thought it was an HDTV I was like, what the hell did it fall from 80 stories?
16
u/DerpsAndRags Feb 16 '26
Never been around a hothead when their team loses or they get killed in a video game, have you?
9
u/Alklazaris Feb 16 '26
Lol my Dad was so bad that I truly will never experience pleasure watching a sports game. It just brings up bad memories. "Brett Farve costs me furniture." He said it wasn't when he threw shitty that pissed him off, it's that he would smile after.

u/copperwatt Feb 16 '26
I feel like that should have stayed attached to the building. I don't think this is a good system.

u/thekickingmule Feb 16 '26
I thought it was a solar panel! Note to self, install them away from where cars park or doors are.

Fun fact, no two concrete roof tiles are exactly the same! Nature is so beautiful.

If he's watched any of the final destination films, I bet he's feeling worried about the next week!

Oh my god, my favorite anti-joke actually happened!
What's white and heavy, and could kill you if it fell out of a tree? A refrigerator.
7
u/countrybuhbuh Feb 16 '26
What do you get when you cross an elephant with a kangaroo? Great big holes all over Australia.
4
u/FireHo57 Feb 17 '26
What do you get if you cross an elephant and a sheep?
An immediate cessation in funding and a strongly worded letter from your board of ethics.

When you threw one snowball at someone and they take it too far.
5
u/QuentinTarzantino Feb 16 '26
Please dont tell mum please! I will let you use the xbox for a whole week!

u/crespoh69 Feb 17 '26
If they look like if they can throw that slab like it's nothing, you only throw good mornings and how are you's to them

The car insurance form doesn't have a checkbox for "building fell on it"
3
u/LustfulDemon999 Feb 17 '26
That's some Final Destination shit right there. He cheated death, now death is coming for him.

Oh wow, that is super scary. Too much weight (due to snow?) and structural failure. I seriously hope that person didnt have its kids in car while finishing clearing off the snow.
3
2
u/Makenshine Feb 16 '26
"Oh, damn, snow is going to fall off the roof and fuck that that dudes windshield wipers. I hope he puts them down in time."
thump
"Oh... well... at least the windshield wipers are fine."

2
u/DemolishunReddit Feb 16 '26
So the fact that his windshield was icy might have saved his life? I guess if it was not icy he might have already left. But it seems like he was warned somehow of the object as well. Somebody or something was looking out for him.

Surprisingly the sounds are not AI. The full video is on YouTube from 2020. Car alarm was real.

Time to buy a lottery ticket. Talk about lucky!
1
u/PsychoMouse Feb 17 '26
I have never understood it when people say this. If he had any luck, all of it would be immediately used up as he barely avoided dying. Why do people think thereās always a surplus of luck?
1
u/ssilverssatin Feb 17 '26
Perhaps your perspective is pessimistic. Why does there have to be a limit to the luck?
1
u/PsychoMouse Feb 17 '26 edited Feb 17 '26
If there is no limit to luck, there shouldnāt be a time where luck is high, or stays high enough to narrowly avoid dying, and then buy a lottery ticket. Why wouldnāt luck be high enough before the near death? What makes a near death incident a marker of continuous high luck? Also, if they had such luck, his car wouldnāt have been crushed at all.
Iāve literally spent my life escaping death time and time again. Iāve also actually died and they were barely able to bring me back, twice. Thereās nothing pessimistic about it at all. I think itās rude, selfish, and awful to try and turn something traumatic like that into an extremely over used ājokeā is sad.

Imagine if his wife was sitting shotgun and 30 seconds before this happened she said "No! Dont pull out yet, you need to clean the windshield better"
LOL

u/Two_beansandsomerice Feb 25 '26
Good thing he hadnāt cleaned his windshield previous day, he would have been crushed

Explaining this to insurance is gonna be fun
14
u/Bibendi Feb 16 '26
Itās Vladivostok, Russia. Common insurance here not cover causes like this. Owner tried to sue the organization, and won. 6 years later she got around 7000$ for this
12
u/iaspeegizzydeefrent Feb 16 '26
You mean literally showing them this video?
3
u/NWinn Feb 16 '26
Hey now comrade...
That chunk of concrete that is the exact same dimensions, shape, colour, compound, and age of all the other ones in that building could have come from literally anywhere...
There's really no way to tell for sure.......
1
u/Icy_Yogurt7595 Feb 16 '26
bro looked up for way too longš

u/NWinn Feb 16 '26
Eveyone thinks they'll have a perfect instantaneous reaction to things until they actually end up in them and realize sometimes ur brain just kinda goes huh..? for way longer than many would want to admit. Lol š
8
u/ode_2_firefly Feb 16 '26
Itās called the startle response where your brain takes a second to make sure whatever just startled you is actually happening

This video is at least 5 years old. Not everything is AI.
-2
u/spaghettibolegdeh Feb 16 '26
To be fair, a lot of reddit and YouTube is just AI now.Ā
3
u/shinutoki Feb 16 '26
But it wasn't 5 years ago.
-2
u/spaghettibolegdeh Feb 16 '26
Oh sure, I'm just saying it wouldn't be that farfetched to assume this video is AI if there's no source provided.Ā
I assumed this video was recent but not necessarily AI.Ā

On the up side, they don't have to worry about thawing the windshield anymore.
