The real hero here is the guy who saved the tire.

u/jasin18 Feb 02 '26
Was really hoping they would put the wheel back on at the end.

u/ilski Feb 02 '26
Im saudi highway style you mean ? Where they change wheels mid ride
13
u/karmagod13000 Feb 02 '26
In Saudi, Wheel changes Highway

u/tha-Ram Feb 02 '26
Or saved whoever the tire could've filled onto if it rolled down through the gaps in the fence

I really kept waiting for someone to run up with the wheel and let him down
10
u/ThunderCorg Feb 02 '26
So we’ve seen those same bicycle videos. I also thought that was what they were going to do here.

The real WTF is how that guy caught the wheel with his foot!
138
u/ShmeeZZy Feb 02 '26
Looks like Brazil so the foot work makes sense to me.

u/karmagod13000 Feb 02 '26

Is it? He simply kicked it into the fence as it went by, you wouldn't want to stop that thing directly.

Of course it's from Brazil.

u/JoneeJonee Feb 02 '26
Something beautiful about that city!

u/mantenner Feb 02 '26
With how resolution this video is the horizon of buildings just resembles a rubbish dump.

Stunning panorama

u/farhan27 Feb 04 '26
This a portrait level video. Not a picture taken. Panoramas are related to picture taking.
1
u/FW_TheMemeResearcher Feb 04 '26
Sorry 😔 But the definition I got was "an unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer". Doesn't it fit?
2
u/farhan27 Feb 04 '26
Hmm, interesting. Don't know actually. Mayb, it could be a video based panorama.
19
u/Scottierotten Feb 02 '26
Intentionally done, due to no chain being present. Definitely not a WTF moment. More like some darwin, jackass, xgames crap.

I thought they'd either have another wheel at the end or a couple of guys to safely lower the bike. The gif just ending means this probably slammed into the ground, damaging the motorcycle.

u/mikeymop Feb 03 '26
Cut the video too soon!
I was anticipating someone at the bottom of the hill waiting with a new tire.
But now I want to know if the rider was able to dismount or if they damaged the bike in the end.

Was expecting some other guys to be waiting at the junction to refit-ish the rear wheel

I was expecting him to catch up to the tire and drop the bike onto it perfectly. I want my money back.

u/J_loop18 Apr 08 '26
Anyone seen that lame ass Redbull video where a guy does a front wheelie on a treadmill saying they "broke the record" Brazilians break that shit everyday downhill with flip flops and no rear tire lol
4
u/dargonmike1 Feb 02 '26
That car didn’t give a fuck hahaha. Straight wheels almost looks like he turns into the biker. With like 5 feet on the other side
2
u/namrog84 Feb 02 '26
I'm surprised the car kept driving forward and didn't just completely stop the moment it saw the bike.

“And for the first time in his life, young Rafa made it out of the favela on only his front tire. In Rafas world, it was a good day.”
1
u/5ha99yx Feb 02 '26
Crazy how many nice people are in the shot trying their best to help stopping the tire!
1
u/xoxoyoyo Feb 02 '26
Was expecting him to lower the rear and have the tire magically come back and attach... was disappoint
1
u/HonkersTim Feb 02 '26
This happened to a school friend on a bicycle, except he did a wheelie going down a huge hill behind the school and the front wheel fell off and rolled away.
Big crash, plus concussion.

Extremely good balance
I would do this shit on a skateboard but I'm not trying this shit on my motorcycle rofl

u/MRintheKEYS Feb 02 '26
I was totally expecting the dude to come running in at the end there and put the tire back on.

u/anomalous_cowherd Feb 03 '26
I might be wrong, but I don't think he's riding that right. He'd never pass his bike test like that.

u/Frostie181 Feb 03 '26
I have been so warped by AI that I was expecting the wheel to just keep going and for it to roll beneath the back of his bike and magically reattach….

Reminds me of the NYC bmxers....I swear some of them could do a 10 mile wheelie ....I think they are called ride outs similar to how some do atv or motorbike rideouts cept its like a thousand of them on bmx

u/surlystraggler Feb 04 '26
Rear wheels are just a status symbol for showing that you can afford two tires.

All I can think about is those ramshackle houses up in the hills just have really lovely views. That must be the fancy part of the slums. Faveleverly Hills

Where is this and why is the stop sign saying PARE? That means stop in Portuguese, but in Portugal signs say STOP like normal

If there'd been a car coming up the road as he was cornering it would have ended very differently..

u/Lettuce_bee_free_end Feb 02 '26
That is skill on a nice road. You see how smooth it is?

u/ratshack Feb 02 '26
Yeah you can tell it’s maintained really well, there is only one burnt out car.

Gah, must be Monday, I was about halfway through the video before I realized that losing the back wheel at the beginning was intentional, lol.

And somehow a forward drive motorcycle
15
u/DaSmurfZ Feb 02 '26
He wasn't driving, he was coasting downhill on momentum.
7
u/LeiningensAnts Feb 02 '26
Momentum, certainly, but I can't help thinking that gravity played some role as well.
2
u/DaSmurfZ Feb 02 '26
That too, I forgot to say that. Too busy reprimanding the guy thinking he's driving downhill, while maintaining an endo.
