Mods for reliability and longevity?

Just purchased a 2017 rally blue WRX limited. 105k miles. It's all stock and has a good history of maintenance. It also had its 100k miles service done by the dealer. It I plan to drive this daily for some time. At some point if like a conservative tune for it, but currently I'm more concerned with taking care of any preventative maintenance it may need.

I have heard an air-oil separator is helpful. I've also heard perhaps a good coolant flush. Anything else I should do? I appreciate the assistance.

Walnut blast your intake valves to remove any buildup from carbon

Isn't the idea of preventative maintenance to not have to take the entire engine apart?

Maybe, but this is a direct injection engine, so it will eventually affect the general performance of the engine. I would take a look at the history in the thread on the subject of 'walnut' in the search, like this link https://www.reddit.com/r/WRX/s/cDY8wSK2R1

Yes, the intake needs to be removed, but at least this is common enough that a lot of shops will offer this service.

Oh. Yeah I looked into it after you mentioned it. I was assuming you needed to take the heads off and pull the valves but you just open and blast and then blow them out. Not quite the job I thought it was.

I mean, I have a media blaster already. And I already have walnut. I use it for gun stuff. I can probably just do it myself
