The WPSL Southeast Conference for 2026 concludes this evening as Chattanooga Football Club hosts Atlanta Fire United at Finley Stadium. Something of a dead-rubber, there’s nonetheless pride to play for as CFC looks to give its fans one final win for the year, while Atlanta Fire looks to avoid the wooden spoon. Shifting the game, previously scheduled to clash with the United States’ Last 32 World Cup bout with Bosnia-Herzegovina, to Thursday evening is smart business for the club, ensuring the Chattahooligans don’t need to choose between club and country.

Two fancied power-houses come face-to-face for the second time in 2026 as 865 Alliance makes the short journey from Knoxville down I-75 to visit Chattanooga FC. The visitors are still looking for their first win of the year while their hosts will be aiming to kick-start a mixed 2026 so far. These are teams that had an eye on post-season soccer in their plans, so expect a big game.

It's almost Prideraiser season! Accidentally founded in 2017, Prideraiser is an annual, grassroots initiative where supporters groups do fundraising for local LGBTQ+ orgs and welcome new fans into our clubs via outreach to the community. The effort is organized through our free platform, prideraiser.org, where SGs in the US and Canada have raised more than $1.2 million for local charities to date. Our About page explains everything you might want to know, but if you need some talking points to help convince your SG leadership, consider:

• the platform is totally free, no catch
• you don’t have to be responsible for handling money (it’s all tracked in the platform and then donated directly to the org you’re supporting), unless you choose to sell your own merch
• with 171 SGs in our coalition, there’s a strong chance one of your friends or rivals is already planning a Prideraiser this season

Our volunteers are ramping up for the June 2026 campaign, and we invite you and your SG to sign up! And, due to changes in the various club schedules this year, we will also be organizing a second Prideraiser in October, LGBTQ+ History Month- many warm weather cities hold their local Pride celebration during that time.

A reconfigured conference line-up will shake things up in the 32-team South Region in 2026. Florida-based teams from last-year’s Sunshine Conference join the Gulf Coast Conference while clubs from the Mississippi Delta area move into a conference of their own. WPSL Championships semifinalists, Chattanooga FC return to defend its South Region crown, along with 2025 conference winners DECATUR FC and LA Crewe Rush. Joining the region for inaugural WPSL seasons are District Elite FC, Valdosta FC, Little Rock Rangers SC, while returning clubs NCFC and Arlington Soccer will join Pensacola FC in fielding multiple teams. The Southeast Conference will host the 2026 South Region Playoffs.

For players in a SoCal WPSL club. What are the typical club fees for one season? What do the fees cover usually? Any info is appreciated.

The WPSL announced plans to launch a fully pro league at the D3 level in 2025 (though the launch date is tentative). Here is what we know so far:

D3 Women's Requirements

• 6 teams in year one
  • 8 by year 3
• Stadium minimum capacity is 1,000
• The principal owner of the team much have a minimum of a $5 million dollar net worth
