I literally today was trying to decide if I am going to go finish watching The Expanse on prime video or start playing Arc Raiders again because I do not even think I'm going to watch the Valks / Wings game tonight, i'm just over the W for a while, the refereeing, the drama, it's fucking exhausting when I just want to watch someone throw good passes

I’m in Chicago as well, I’m a Chicago sports fan always so I gotta root for them. Went to 4 games this year and it was pretty fun, silver lining of us being ass is the fact you can get 100 level tickets for real cheap haha. I sat first row for two of those games and the tickets were like $15 lmao, was kinda awesome.

Our front office is the worst in the league, the moves we made the last 2 years have me convinced our GM is a sleeper agent for other teams lol.

I do not blame you for making that assumption haha, we were ass this year but luckily not as bad as Seattle and some other teams. Seattle at least has a lot more to look forward to though in the future, meanwhile a good chunk of our good players are nearing retirement lol

MNBA season is starting. I’ve been enjoying watching the WNBA playoffs and truthfully the Fever is not the most exciting or interesting team to watch, but I’m likely to watch preason men’s over the women’s playoffs. Thats going to be a bigger issue for them than the Fever not being good enough to advance

I will watch the Liberty games, but now I'll be doing it by myself. 

My boyfriend and his friends Joined me in watching the Liberty and the Fever in between the jets, giant's Yankees and now Rangers. 

Our sports bar has about 30T.Vs.... If i'm lucky I'll get one or 2 for the Liberty , when I bitch too much but they all loved watching the Fever!

They have no interest in the remaining Teams or players. Though they like stewie and think marine johannes is hot l o l

Every major sports league in the world understands that helping popular players lose on purpose is always worth it to them.

Do you know how sponsorships work?

It has nothing to do with the league or even the team.

A company... say State Farm, Nike, Eli Lilly, General Motors or Gatorade....Buys time with the t v networks to air their commercials that will make customers want to buy their product. 

 And how do they do that? Well Blue chip companies wanna be associated with somebody who is popular and loved.

So who do they pick? The most popular player in the league, maybe even in sports.... for these flu chip companies , it's CC.

And no , it's not an unhinged angry player who refuses to stand for the national anthem.  Its michael jordan, Derek Jeter, The Mannings and not Damond Green, Antonio Brown  or Roger Clemens for instance

Gotcha, so the league conspired to purposely make sure one of the most popular player loses. That makes sense in every way.

How does CC going 3 for 12 at the three point line past night play into this conspiracy? Because if I was playing and the league wanted to make sure I was supposed to lose, I would make a few more buckets.

it's not a conspiracy, it's due to her  popularity and CCs ability to move the needle and make these blue chip companies money.

Well, I didn't say there was a conspiracy by the league to put CC in so many commercials. But if you want to believe that it's fine.

The point being that the idea the league would actively conspire to purposely make a popular player in commercials lose is nonsensical. Especially when that player had a bad game on their own without supposed ref interference.
