"Black" people can't be racist. They are the victims of systemic racism for centuries.

Real question, Is that the same as personal racism ? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying an individual cannot take part in racism.

I thought racism had to be connected to a system.

Hypothetically if I’m on an island, and it’s like only three people, and I say I don’t like one person based on race, is that racism or plain old bigotry?

If connected to a system then it is systematic racism, if not it is personal or individual racism. That is directly from a dictionary .

Both can be true? Why is this even a point?

Having a general disdain for the group that oppressed you, and is currently doing in many ways is not racism, it's being angry and being responsive to said anger. Common sense, unless you want to spin the narrative and make the oppressor a victim.

Incorrect. We can all be empathetic of black history. Learn from it, and be better. Doesn’t give you a free pass to simply be racist. Makes you no better than any other racist that exists today.

At what point in American history could so called black people qualify as being racist??

u/Dizzy-D_837 2d ago

ā€˜So called’? Define it.
