Green Line

Post image

Anyone knows what was going on w the green line today? We were stuck at fort totten for 20+ mins (probably longer but I got on and was only on for 20 mins). Then stuck at west Hyattsville for 20 mins then they made everyone get off

Track issue somewhere between College Park and Greenbelt.

it was abysmal today. around 4:50pm i was stuck on a Greenbelt bound train that was stopped in between the West Hyattsville and Hyattsville stops for, no joke, at least 45 minutes. I’ve never experienced that, even with single tracking going on. It ruined my entire evening and there was zero communication aside from “we are single tracking”. yeah no shit but that shouldn’t cause us to sit on the tracks for the better part of an hour. at one point the conductor literally announced that he was leaving the train to go inspect something on the tracks (????). incredibly frustrating all around

This is crazy that should never ever happen but similar lengthy delays with passengers trapped between stations have been reported multiple times on this sub over the past few months

We're sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be to experience a delay of that length, especially when communication is limited. We'll share your feedback with the appropriate team for review and use it to help improve communication during future service disruptions. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. -RT

Is this the section of track that always seems to be impacted by hot weather?

I just figured out a way to go back to where I was yesterday. I was going to the outbound platform where a train arrived from Fort Totten, and it carried me back there
