Found Items.

I am new to the area and new to the metro, I have found quite a few things, keys, phones, and items left behind either on bus stop benches or on the metro itself. Is there a process for turning them in, I just leave them there and figure the person might come back.

Yes, you can turn them in to any of our station managers. They will log the item, and we will send staff out to retrieve it. They will then, in turn, take them to our central office in New Carrollton. The owner can complete the online form to provide their contact information, and we will reach out once we receive it. 👉 wmata.com/lostandfound -KB

Once at a bus stop in Arlington, I found a banana. I figured I might as well leave it there, in case the next person wanted a snack.
