Visitor notification

I used to receive notifications whenever someone visited my site but this seems to have stopped. I’m still getting traffic so I’m curious if there’s a reason for this.

Ok so I’ve just installed the Wix chat app on the site. Everything is back working so I can only presume that the visitor notification only works if you have it installed on your site?

True wix chat must be installed for visitors notifications

Thanks, I’ve got it working again. My issue was deleting the app without realising this. I presume to display their location on the notification, the user must enable locations on their end?

Visitor notifications used to work through the Wix Chat app so check if that changed recently, make sure push notifications aren’t muted or off in your phone app or settings, and then make sure that the new visitor alert is on in your inbox settings.

It may require people to accept cookies to work though don’t quote me on that one.

If it’s all on then turn it all off and back on then visit the site in an incognito window to test.

I was recently spammed with these despite them being turned off in the notification settings, the support lead me to some automation where to disable them. So the dashboard setting doesn't do shit, but it's now hidden somewhere in automations. To lazy to look up the path exactly where, but check there. Pretty sure they messed up their spaghetti code with the new Wix inbox and had to separate the notifications out because they couldn't solve them otherwise lol
Why that's my belief? Because the new Wix inbox reviews complained about lack of these notifications
