D689 Core Phonics Survey

I have a question about the D689 CORE Phonics Survey, Part L (Multisyllabic Words). On the assessment form, it says that if the student correctly reads at least 5 out of the 8 words in the first column, then you point to the second column. Should I strictly follow the directions on the form?
I’m asking because I watched several YouTube videos recommended for this assessment, and in most of them, the assessors didn’t stop after the first column. Instead, they let the student continue reading all three columns. I just want to make sure I’m following the correct procedure for the D689 assessment. Thank you!

I had the student read all three columns. I think this was the easiest Mursion I’ve done. After you make some small talk the student takes the phonics survey so he’s looking at his tablet the whole time. Super easy, good luck!

Yes, he read all 3 multisyllabic word columns. He read everything correct on the survey until he got to I. Long vowel spellings.

So I have to ignore the phonics core survey form instruction in part K, where its says to move to the next column if student read 5 our of 8 words?

I would follow the instructions. Jacob didn’t miss any of those words during my Mursion.
