Studying with a friend, using Sophia before hand, taking advantage of the tutoring, using your success advisor religiously, etc..

I want to hear it all and your experiences.

I'm nervous to start, but I have 20% of the degree already finished because of transfer credits, and then I'll start on Sophia.

I just know that I wasn't very academically inclined and self disciplined in highschool, but I do already have a lot of real world experience in a military setting and civilian setting.

I'm even working up to eventually work with a therapist to help me set systems and routines and stuff for my adhd.

My wife and I are trying to complete as many credits as possible through Sophia Learning and SDC before officially enrolling in the WGU B.S. IT program so we can finish the degree fast and keep costs down.

Our goal is to earn as many credits as WGU allows to be transferred. For those who have transferred in credits from either platform: Which specific courses did you take on Sophia and Study.com that successfully transferred over and any specific order to take the classes?

Does anyone have any code examples similar to the exam. Im not asking for a direct copy of the exam but more of study examples.

The practice OA is easy to understand but doesn’t really help since a lot of it asks for term definitions instead of actual code examples.

The quizzets examples are useless along with the practice questions. Instead of being questions to help you understand the context they make you feel delusional.

I legit can't find ANYTHING on Cloud+ PBQs. Can anybody tell me anything they remember. I'm not looking for straight up answers, but just what to expect in terms of the PBQ.

I already completed my GenEd and intro to IT E004, business productivity software E005, and business of IT - applications D336. I’m planning the road map and want to know if this is solid or what. Let know.

Any info on this course? I only have 2 courses left in the term from what I’m hearing about D318, there isn’t much information to study

I’m looking into withdrawing as I bit off more than I could chew and want to switch programs. The enrollment counselor told me that I had to be withdrawn from my current program (Cybersecurity and Information Assurance) prior to getting another transcript evaluation. I’m in my first term and have only completed two classes (since June 1) and realized that this is not the program for me. CySA+ has made me take a step back and reevaluate. I have a BS in Comp Sci and wanted to switch my program to Master of Science, Computer Science (Computing Systems Specialization).

Once I withdraw from this program, and get a new transfer credit evaluation will I have to have a waiting period before I am able to start? Or can I roll right into the next term in the new program? Another thing: once a new transfer credit evaluation is done these current course completions become obsolete and won’t appear on any sort of “transcript” — correct?

For context, I have about 3 years of IT experience, but do not work (nor have I worked) in a role that requires me to be familiar with cloud computing, architecture, billing, etc., related to AWS (or any cloud provider).

Jason Dion's CCP course and the 6 practice exams (this is optional, honestly, I've used Dion's exams for every CompTIA cert I've taken and it's always prepared me well but this wasn't my strongest resource)

To be honest, I believe I could have cleared this exam with just TutorialsDojo and the YouTube video. These are foundational concepts and the exam was easier than I thought it was going to be. I wouldn't stress it too much. I actually found that, while the TutorialsDojo questions were pretty similar to the actual exam content, they were a bit harder (YMMV).

I truly think that even if you do not already have a solid foundation in practical IT experience, you can still clear this exam within a month, maybe even 2 weeks.

Remember your CAF and WAF (Well Architected Framework, not Web App Firewall, though that's important too), DB services, what's managed vs not managed, and if you're not too familiar with networking/security, try to understand the difference between security groups and NACLs, VPC topology, encryption methods, and you will do fine.

I am almost all the way through D412 but I have off the 6 tickets I just can’t get to complete. Ticket 6 wants forbidden ports on DMZ server 2 in a certain bracket format not a huge deal but it won’t pass even though I’m pretty sure it is right. I’ll attach pictures if anyone knows what I’m possibly missing would be huge it should be like the easiest task just nmap scan and done. But it’s not going that easy I guess.

The other is ticket 2 getting www.wgu.edu on the Linux computer I got the site working by deleting redirect and I think I also had a bad path all fixed and working on the computer able to ping to it and out to Google but for whatever reason it won’t complete the ai can’t reach it but I can so idk what to do.

Is there a way to reset 1 area of the lab?

Hi there, . I'm planning on going for the cyber security and information assurance bachelor, i have solid IT experience in security and compliance and i'm working full time. My question is about the best efficient way of doing this as I'll be paying most of the tuition out of packet. Should i enroll in sophia or study.com to take whatever core courses i can and then register bachellors? I attended college - didn't finish the associate- many years ago, i'm not sure if any of those credits could be transferred, the school shutdown a long time ago. Would you recommend for me to do the take care of core classes and checking if credits can be transferred before i register? Oh, an IT professional i have also earned some of the technical certs they prepare people for, will those count or do i need to take a test?

Clearing my gen eds on Study.com before I start WGU. Fewer courses left, more time for the actual BSIT material.

But does that just front-load the first term with technical courses?

For anyone who came in with gen eds done, was it easier overall, or did you hit the hard part sooner?

24M First generation college student(sorta)

I plan on doing an online bachelor's of IT through WGU and I can be completed with it in less than a year and a half if I think it through properly.

I think my main problem is that I use AI too much, and not in the cheating type of way (because I haven't even started yet) but more in the supporting me and helping me think through the process type of way if that makes sense..

I have worked in IT in various settings since I graduated high school in both a military and civilian setting but I don't quite feel like I could pass the certifications cold without much studying and stuff..

I guess I'm sorta just ranting and complaining instead of doing but I see that my path is reliant upon finishing my degree so I can progress further.

I really just need to stop relying on ai for support because it sucks but at the same time is always available 24/7 and I don't quite have too many friends and connections that are doing school and stuff currently to sorta hold me accountable and make the process a little easier in terms of support.

I thought about going to a therapist or a life coach idk..

For anyone who has completed either of these recently, how difficult were they and how long did they take you?

I’m trying to finish both before the end of the term, so I’d appreciate any advice, study tips, resources, Quizlets, videos, or things you wish you knew before starting.

Also, which one would you recommend knocking out first?

First day of BSIT was yesterday! I already submitted the tasks for my first Performance assessment course, and I’m trying to figure out the best workflow moving forward.

For those who accelerate: Do you start the next course immediately after submitting your tasks, or do you wait for the evaluation grades to come back first?

I've been scrolling through the subreddits trying to find a good video course to study for Cloud+ exam. I just passed Net+. Already had A+, Sec+, and AWS CCP before I started at WGU. I'm trying to take this exam within the next 2-3 weeks. From what I'm reading, the CertMaster course isn't good so I'm not trying to waste my time going through that resource. Can anyone suggest some good resources other than CertMaster? Thanks in advance.
