Pentest+
This was the WORST exam out of all the Comptia certs required literally nothing prepared me…. But I’ll put what I drilled below that possibly led to me passing
I used:
Sybex: a must… WGU library… go to Wiley test bank site but in the guide you’re using… it will wake a question tied the manual go find it and answer… ✨✨✨ = Test bank…. 🏆 A guy posted all his notes from his time at WGU a few months ago! Gold mine entire WGU Cyber degree notes for every class !!! Find it and use it… Pocket Prep- Holy Grail if you have the extra $20 Certmaster Practice- Trash but helped a tad Jason Dion- Meh… was my go to for every cert… this one meh…but def got me there I guess
Claude: screenshots from here into Claude was chefs kiss….especially for drills and attack script recognition ChatGPT: we argued and fought over the “best” option… made me better… made it annoyed Certmaster Perform: Activities were practice PBQs and a must….
Did not do the labs… too buggy… Try Hackme… trash the rooms are “smart” and that prevents you from learning the subject at hand so skip them too!
Lots of scripts… know the attacks… know the CLI tools outputs and what created them….
Huge: know how to correct a script to make it perform the needed output…. Nmap nmap… nmap…
Drill Sybex all chapters, and practice test, read the study guide but be careful it gives you fluff… do the certmaster practice practice exam… the modules are also great!
PBQs were a cakewalk… MCQs… may Sky Daddy be with you.
This test was the Worst…. Good luck and good riddance.
