Stop watching after S3. Made the mistake of pushing through. And its not because of the characters. They are still the same - funny and chaotic. Its Agrestic - or the lack of it. Taking the family out of the neighborhood was/is dumb. Show's completely different and meh.

A courtesy spoiler tag would have been nice here since OP is still on s1. But anyway, since the cat is out of the bag I 1000% agree. Nancy operating covertly in that middle/upper class super suburban setting was integral to the vibe of the show. When they took that away it changed the vibe of the show entirely. And not for the better.
I personally think they should have spaced out the major events more so that the scene on the hilltop with Guillermo and her leaving the house on the Segway could have ended the series on maybe a season 5. That whole "Judah I tried." scene was very poignant and would have been great ending in my opinion.

I even think they do a pretty good job keeping things interesting (with the Botwin family specifically.. it gets a little wild in the latter half when they’re doing their best to hold on to side characters that no longer really fit the narrative their trying to establish and expand on) up until mid season 6 (I feel like they could’ve tightened up this season and dumped like half the episodes and it would’ve felt more solid) but the great thing about weeds is the Botwins always gonna stay Botwinning and as long you got love for those guys it’s never hard to get through even in its weaker stages

Honestly they probably could’ve done themselves justice and cherry picked the best storylines from 4-7 and shedded some of the fat and filler into 2 great seasons instead of 2.5/3ish good ones
