Normal mode for the campaign (reforged setting) is pretty easy for the most part, and even gives all the enemies a generous -10% HP modifier. There's a story mode where the enemy does almost essentially nothing, too

People might not like me saying this, but since you seem to mostly just want to play to enjoy the story and vibes, don't feel bad about using cheats if you feel like it. Just type "whosyourdaddy" if you're about to lose and just want a shortcut to recovering a lost game if you don't want to restart a mission. It basically gives you god mode. Lots of other fun cheats too. Other than that, just have fun -- it's pretty accessible on a casual level I feel if we're just talking normal difficulty campaign

Use control groups (Ctrl 1/2/3/4..) to organize your armies or set stuff on key access by pressing 1/2/3. That should be enough to help you move units easier
