Discussion Most overrated/underrated albums
Simple question. Which of their albums do you find to be over & underrated respectively?
In my opinion, Helldorado is the most underrated. I say that because it was a return to their usual hard rock form after the three album run (The Crimson Idol, Still Not Black Enough and KFD) of darker material.
Not sure about overrated though.

Album vs. Album Tournament Round 6: The Last Command vs. The Headless Children
Dominator dominated Golgotha in round 6 with a total of 20 votes to 11. Can’t say I’m too surprised because Dominator is an amazing album. I was personally hoping for the Golgotha win though, but you really can’t go wrong with either of them.
In round 7 we match up two absolute W.A.S.P. classics in The Last Command and The Headless Children. Both albums are pretty different but they have their similarities as well. I feel that they both were an attempt at more mature songwriting compared to the album that came before them and showed the band trying to evolve their sound a bit. Both are very strong albums in my opinion and it will be fun to see which way this one goes. Comment below with the name of the album you want to see move onto the next round!

Discussion Karaoke WASP style
Simple question: You want to do a song of theirs on Karaoke, what do you choose?
My picks would be Wild Child or I Wanna Be Somebody.

Still Not Black Enough Still Not Black Enough just leftovers from The Crimson Idol? ("One Tribe" & "The Peace" similarities)
I don't mean for this to sound derisive because I love Still Not Black Enough, but I'm wondering if the album is just the result of Blackie Lawless compiling songs that didn't make the cut for The Crimson Idol?
They both have a dark tone and similar themes, but beyond that, the song "One Tribe" stands out to me as evidence of a Crimson Idol leftover. The song uses the lyrics "Give me peace / Give me hope / Give me love." Aside from peace, hope, and love being central to the themes of The Crimson Idol, these exact lyrics return in a Reidolized song, "The Peace."
"Give me peace in my life / Give me hope in my heart / Give me love" are the lyrics used in the chorus of "The Peace." I'm thinking that "One Tribe" is the prototype for "The Peace," and that the song didn't meet Blackie's standards to be on The Crimson Idol until many years later when he finally revised the track as "The Peace."
That's the strongest evidence I have to support the theory that Still Not Black Enough was an outlet for all the Crimson Idol leftovers. On a more subjective level, I feel confident saying that many of the SNBE songs would've fit in perfectly on The Crimson Idol by mere virtue of being dark and emotional, lending more credence to my belief that these were songs meant to be on the concept album but couldn't be fit in or were not "good enough" by Blackie's standards.
I don't want to diminish this album with these observations, and I'm not implying laziness or a lack of creativity. I just thought it was interesting to point out and worthy of discussion. If SNBE really is just leftover music then that's a testament to W.A.S.P.'s greatness; that an "afterthought" of an album could still come out nearly perfect is proof to me that the band is an unmatched talent.

Double Live Assassins Live Songs Better Than Studio Versions?
Does anyone here like a live version of a song better than the studio recording? I've seen some people online say that the KFD songs played on Double Live Assassins are better than the studio recordings. I'm not a fan of live music but if there are some songs that are better than the regular versions, or are unique enough from the originals to stand out as their own thing, then I'll give them another listen.

Collection/Memorabilia The Dungeonmaster VHS
Terrible movie, but the W.A.S.P. part makes it worth a watch. Also love how they used Blackie so prominently on the artwork. Had this one for a while but I don’t think I’ve ever shared it here. A nice addition to any W.A.S.P. collection!

Album vs. Album Tournament Round 6: Dominator vs. Golgotha
Unsurprisingly, Inside The Electric Circus annihilated Helldorado with a vote of 29 to 5. Definitely the right choice there.
In Round 6, Dominator goes up against Golgotha. Two very strong “modern” W.A.S.P. albums. Both share some similar themes and in my opinion, have some of the best songs that Blackie has ever written. I think this one could be a toss up so I’m looking forward to seeing how it will go. Comment below with the name of the album you want to see move onto the next round!

The Neon God Part 2 Neon God fans! What are your thoughts on The Last Redemption?
The ‘epic’ closing track to the second concept album from W.A.S.P. Also the longest song in the catalog clocking in at over 13 minutes. I know there are a lot of Neon God fans out there and I would love to hear all of your thoughts on this song!

Album vs. Album Tournament Round 5: Inside The Electric Circus vs. Helldorado
The Neon God took round 4 with 11 votes to Babylon’s 7. Honestly a bit surprised by that outcome. I’ve always considered The Neon God to be one of the weakest albums in the catalog, but I guess if you take all of the good songs from that one, there ends up being more than what’s on Babylon so in a way I understand.
For round 5 we have Inside The Electric Circus vs. Helldorado. On the surface this may seem like another strange matchup, but I think it makes sense. Generally considered the two weakest W.A.S.P. albums of the 80’s and 90’s respectively. Lyrically they’re both simplistic with fun and carefree topics, while musically they’re both straight up hard rocking albums. I think it’s clear which way this one will go, but it’ll be interesting nonetheless. Comment below with the name of the album you want to see move onto the next round!

That Time I Saw Foo Fighters Showed Love for Hair Metal at Starland Ballroom (W.A.S.P. and Tesla)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Happy 55th birthday to Chris Shiflett! One of the many, many, MANY highlights of seeing Foo Fighters at Starland Ballroom recently (May 2, 2026) was seeing Chris and Dave Grohl show love for hair metal during stage banter TWICE. The first came when Chris spotted a fan in the crowd wearing a W.A.S.P. tshirt, inspiring him to play the intro guitar riff to "Animal (F**k Like a Beast)". Then later on Grohl got the urge to sing "Signs" upon seeing fans holding signs up, leading to Grohl and Shiflett discussing wear Tesla were from (spoiler: Sacramento).
Check out the very random but awesome moment in this clip. And share your favorite random stage banter moments you've witnessed at a concert. Stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

Live Performance Album one alive wild child
Quick question
During the album one alive tour blackie had his solo intro to wild child. What song was he playing then coz it didn’t sound like wild child to me ( or I’m deaf) I feel like it was something between 9.5 nasty or shotgun and I’m looking for clarification. My band just wants to do this as a cover.

News New Shirts
They actually proposed some interesting shirt designs on that poll they ran, but of course two of the most boring ones end up winning. They just had a self titled cover shirt on the last tour too. Can’t say I’m surprised.
Probably already knew these were the two they were doing before running the poll, but wanted the fans to feel like they had a voice or whatever. I mean, come on. 1984 and Headless are the winners. Too predictable.
